Some New News and a Freebie!

Good morning! Well it is snowing again here in the Illinois Valley! And going to get COLD again! Winter has definitely come! Maybe this weekend I will make a snow angel...Holly from Hogwild About Stamping had asked me one of our first snowstorms for a snow angel...hmmm you might get it Holly! Anywhooo...I know I have been a little slow in getting my cards designed for the blog...with the holidays it has been rough as I am sure it has been for all of you! However, there is another reason I have not been creating as much....I am now a new digital designer for Stamping Boutique!! Tracey has been so kind to take me on as a designer of digital sentiments. Thanks so much Tracey for having me on board! To celebrate my debut, I am offering a freebie here on my blog. Please take it, leave me some love, and enjoy it! Wish me luck on my new venture. Thanks tons for stopping in to see me today...I do appreciate each and everyone of you.

Just Because

Good morning! Oh my gosh it is so cold today! I just wanted to stay home in bed this morning but I am up and going. Today's card uses another cute little Audrey image from The Stamping Boutique...isn't she a cutie? Tracey makes these images so easy to color...I was afraid of coloring the hair at first but the shading is just perfect...all you have to do is color! I cut the image out and sat it on an oval nestie. The paper is from a paperstack from DCWV...and I used my new MS Loop punch as well. The sentiment was stamped with a JustRite stamp. If you haven't been to The Stamping Boutique for a while, head on over there to see all the new images released by Tracey and Stef...they are awesome. Well, I am off to work! Have a great day today! Thanks again for stopping by!

Love

Well, I am hoping everyone's holiday was wonderful! I am trying to get back into the blogging groove...I received a lot of new crafting items for Christmas that I want to play with but the last 2 days I have been a little off....now my hubby would say I am ALWAYS off LOL! Anywhoooo, my card today was created using a new punch that I received from my sweet friend Stef...it is the Martha Stewart Loop punch set...which contained both the corner punch as well as the border punch. Really cool punch! The image I used on my card is one of The Stamping Boutique's new images called Audrey Saving Her Love...isn't this the most awesome image?I colored her with Copic markers....used a little chalk for the background. Added some brown ribbon....really like brown and pink together. Thanks for stopping by to see me today...I promise to get my rear in gear and come visit you very soon.

Last of my xmas cards!

Hello to all! I am so sorry for not getting back to post for so long. I am so busy as I know all of you are! Sunday afternoon we spent with Stef and her husband...we had a wonderful visit ! This was the first time the hubbies met and they were like old friends at the start! I was amazed at the chatter coming from the living room as Stef and I sat in her craft room! Santa left a package at Stef's for me...it is the MS loopy punch I have been wanting so bad...Love it but haven't played with it yet. Today I finished up making my xmas cards...these are for my children and my grandbabies...the santa one I made 4 of...one for each granbaby...and the other two are for my sons and dear DILs. I found this web site...Twisted Papers...that has all these beautiful, clear crisp vintage images...and they are posting freebies through Christmas day! I can't wait to use some of these for next year's cards. Of course I added some bling, etc to each of the cards. Today, I have last minute food shopping to do and some housecleaning! Thanks so much for stopping in to see me...and I surely will be by to see all of you today...sorry I have not been to see you before now. Whew!! I will be glad when the hustle and bustle is over!

Happy Holidays

Good morning! Well one week from today the Jolly Old Man will have been here on his sleigh! Oh gosh and I am not ready for him!!! I am off work all week next week so I will be scrambling to get things done. I hope most of you are better prepared than I am! Well, I do believe this may be my last Christmas card post. And although it doesn't really look Christmasy...it is a Christmas card. This card is a replica of a card I had created some time ago as a Thank You card. I received an order for this card from a friend of mine...she wanted to give it to her supervisor who is a male....so I added Happy Holidays and the small tree (SU stamp) and then glittered it up with a Sakura clear glitter pen and added a ribbon!
I may not be posting for a couple of days so that I can get ready for Christmas...but I will be back by Sunday hopefully. Thanks to all of you for supporting me by visiting me daily and leaving some love! Have a great day!

Fairy Happy Birthday

Hello, so glad to see you today! Wow this week has flown by for me! It is hard to believe it is Thursday already! Today I have a card that I created for a friend whose birthday is coming soon...and she is an avid reader so I wanted to make her a bookmark as well as a card. Decided to make the bookmark a part of the card! The image I used on the bookmark is from Pairie Fairy. It is a freebie she offered a while ago on her blog. If you remember a few days ago I posted some information about the call for a DT and there are lots of sneak peaks of images that will be in her new store. If you haven't gone to see her...please do! I colored the image with Copic markers and added some clear glitter to the fairy's wings and skirt. I chalked the background of the marker and tied a ribbon at the top. The card was actually part of a kit I had gotten from a Lisa Bearnson sample kit. I created my sentiment in photoshop. Thanks to Roberta for the freebie! Well that is it for today...hope you enjoyed your visit. Thanks much for stopping in!

For You

Hello! Well we are getting closer to Christmas! Are you ready? I most certainly am not! Still have to put up the tree and decorate the house but I plan on doing some of that by the end of the week. Most of my shopping is done...but nothing is wrapped. However, I am off work all week next week so I have some "extra" time I would not have had if I had been working so I am not panicking YET! Well, todays card was a real simple card...white card base, layered with gold and burgandy...used the Cuttlebug Snowflakes folder for the embossing and cut it into sections. The ornament is also a Cuttlebug die and embossing folder but I am not remembering what it it called. I brayered some burgandy ink on the ornament, colored the top with Copics, and then used some Gold stickles. The ribbon used to "hang" the ornament on the card was from Hobby Lobby. Well, hope your day is wonderful and WARM! Thanks for stopping by to see me, I know you are alll busy busy trying to get ready for the Holidays. I am planning on visiting all of you a little later in the day today!

Cricut Happy Holidays

Good frosty morning to you! Today's card was a cricut creation! So simple but it has a little bit of an elegant feel to it. I layered the underside of the cut out front with some gold foil paper from American Crafts and then simply stamped the sentiment in gold. Super simple, quick and easy with the cricut. Today I am at home...took the day off work to help out my DIL and son with the babies. I hope to be able to stop by and visit with each of you a little later on in the day...thanks so much for stopping in! Happy creating!

Season's Greetings

Good Morning!!! Well today's card is featuring some new images from The Stamping Boutique. I did some photoshop and combined a couple of images to get this result. One image is Tracey's Cardinal2 and the other image is the evergreen brances from Stef's A Little Bit of Christmas. Colored the cardinal with Copics and the branches were colored in photoshop. Added a little crystal stickles to the branches to give the card some bling. The sentiment is computer generated using the Adorable font. Stop on over at The Stamping Boutique and check out the new images...they are awesome.

And speaking of new images, have you been to Squigglefly lately???? Wow, you have to go there! Many, many new awesome images there as well. Be sure to check everyday for the Nab It image as well!

Thanks again for stopping in to see me! I will be visiting each of you later on today to see what goodies you may have! Have a great day today.

Season's Greetings

I am sorry for being gone for a day or so....life is catching up with me! I really did not have any time to craft since last weekend...so today, I got busy again! I had an order for about 5 Christmas cards that I needed to fill so you may see a few more Christmas cards from me this week, but after that, I think I am moving on! I have really just about had my fill of Christmas cards for now. Today's card is another gatefold design...embossed with Sizzix Snowflakes folder. The beautiful tree in the center and the sentiment is from the SU Snow Swirled stamp set. I stamped it with VersaMark and then heat embossed it with some silver embossing powder. I used the Classic and Scalloped Oval Nesties around the image. I took my Sakura Stardust clear glitter pen and added a little bling to each of the embossed snowflakes. I think this card turned out rather elegant. Well I sure hope your weekend has been a great one...getting all that shopping done as well as all the decorating? We are getting close! Take care, and thanks for stopping in today...I truly do appreciate all the support you have given me.

Peace

BRRRRRRR! Way too cold here again today! But supposed to get up to 29 by Sunday so that is a heat wave compared to this cold blast. I really have not had much time this week to play so I am glad I was able to get some cards done last weekend! This card was created mostly with the Cuttlebug again...The die/embossing folder combo is called Dove I think....pop dotted a couple of embossed panels onto some silver foil paper....added some ribbon....the scoring at the bottom of the card was done with the Scor Pal and then I stamped and heat embossed the Peace sentiment. I sure hope you all have a great weekend planned...we are going to have 2 of our grandsons tonight overnight and need to finish some shopping for xmas this weekend...gosh I don't even have my tree up yet! Next week! Hugs to all and thanks tons for coming to see me again today.

A Child is Born!

Good morning to all! Wow what a chilly morn here in Illinois! Hope it is warmer where you are today! With wind chills factored in we were at -22 this morn...actual temp was 2. For sure I know winter is really here now. Well, today's card is one of the new images at the Stamping Boutique done by Stef. Isn't this just the most precious looking baby? Nice job on this image Stef. I colored the image with Copics, added the star in the upper left hand corner in Photoshop and then chalked a halo around him and chalked the sky and area under his bedding. I used the pearlescent Bazzil paper for my card....it just added the right amount of bling to the card I thought. The "O Holy Night" stamp was one I had gotten from the dollar bin at Michaels. Well thanks tons for stopping in to see me today. I appreciate you all more than you know! Have a great day and stay warm!

Cricut Thinking of You

Good morning everyone! Here is another of the cricut cards I created this last weekend. I really like how it turned out. The card base and flower cut out were all done by the Cricut...added some embossing with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder, sentiment is SU....added a ribbon from my stash. I added a little clear glitter to the rose and the stem. I will be playing some more with the cricut this weekend I think...so there will be more to come! Thanks tons for stopping in to see me today...I will be by to visit you all a little later today.

Martha Stewart Merry Xmas

Hello everyone! Well I worked all day yesterday making cards...and this one was my fav! BUT, the little bugger was a LOT of work! I got the Martha Stewart branch punch last year at the end of the season real reasonable and never really used it but to cut out some test branches in 3 different shades of green...and put the branches in a bag to sit for a year! Today when I was going through some stuff, I found them and decided I better use them up...so here is what I designed with them! I first drew in my swirly design so I had a pattern to glue the branches to. Then I glued the branches down in random pattern added some red stickles and some clear glitter to them and voila! I am sooooo happy with this card. Then I just finished off my swirly with some green Stickles and added the sentiment which was from the dollar bin at Michaels. I hope you enjoyed looking at this one as much as I enjoyed creating it! I know I mentioned that I was going to work on my cricut yesterday and I did...I have some cricut cards for you during the week. Thanks to each and every one of you for coming to see me and leaving me such nice comments...you keep me going! Have a great Monday and I will be off to see you later today.

Noel

BRRRR.....baby it's COLD outside! Hope you are staying warm in your part of the world! Today's card was created using some vintage scrapbooking paper given to me by my very good friend Stef. I really like the vintage look. Thanks much Stef. For this card I just cut out a section of the paper and matted it on a few layers of cardstock and then onto a Frames Nestability....then stamped the Noel sentiment in the cornter. I really like how it turned out by may go back and add a little bling to it. For some reason, I cannot seem to let well enough alone sometimes and that does come back to bite me! I have ruined many a project thinking I need to kick it up a notch! Well hope you have a great day today...I am going to get in some cricut time and walk down to the neighbors for a few minutes to an auction...thanks tons for stopping to see me!

Happy Anniversary

Hello! It's wonderful to see the weekend here...I hope everyone is having a great start! Don't they just fly by? The sun is shining brightly here but it is COLD! And we are looking for our first measurable snowfall this weekend into next week. I do LOVE snow so I get sooooo excited when it is forecasted! Well on to todays card. This card was created for my DIL's grandparent's 50th Anniversary. I really should have used gold in the creation...but didn't. The card was created entirely with the Cuttlebug using the Sizzix Flowers embossing folder and a Frame folder from another Sizzix embossing folder set. The background paper was Bazzill pearlescent. I used the ScorePal for my score lines and added some ribbon and pearls. The sentiment was computer generated. Well, today I hope to play a little with my cricut...I have been neglecting it lately. I hope to have some cards to show you maybe tomorrow! Have a great rest of your day and thanks for stopping to see me!

Snowflakes!

Hello again! Well we got our first snow in the Illlinois Valley last night. Just a dusting but as far as I am concerned...winter is now here! Drug out the winter coat today...thought since I was sick all day yesterday maybe I should bundle up! Feeling better today. So in line with the weather...here is today's card...a snowflake card! Another gatefold design that was embossed with the Sizzix Snowflakes folder....The snowflake is a Cuttlebug Snowflake combo die and embossing folder. And of course last but not least...layers created with the circle nesties. Hope everyone has a wonderful Friday...stay warm and thanks for stopping by to see me!

Shy Bear Birthday

Hello again! I played with the Shy Bears again today! I am just amazed at how easy they are to work with...silly me being afraid of a little bear! This card was created for a co-worker's neice who turned 11 this month. The sentiment was created in Photoshop and I colored my image with copics. I used a little chalk to shade the background around the image and then cut it out with a nestie...and layered it with more nesties. The card base was embossed with the Happy Birthday Cuttlebug embossing folder that I had inked with Momento ink. Love, Love those Shy Bears! Hoping today is going to be a little better for me...not feeling the greatest and not sure if it is that I am getting sick or am just reacting to some meds...but not liking it! Hope your day is wonderful...thanks for stopping in to see me today!

Merry Christmas

Hello! Today's card was a fairly easy one to put together but I like how it turned out! Basically this card was all created using the Cuttlebug. The wreath is a Cuttlebug die and embossing combo called Holly Wreath...added a few Stickles to the berries. I embossed the background paper with Cuttlebug Swiss Dots and Divine Swirls and added a couple of score lines between the two with the ScorPal. Stamped it with a stamp from the Vintage Christmas kit by TPC Studios from Joann Fabrics. The green foil paper is from American Crafts and purchased from Hobby Lobby. Well our weather is supposed to be colder today...and maybe we might see a few snow flurries...winter is coming...just hard to believe cause our weather has been unseasonably mild. Take care and have a great day. Thanks so much for stopping by again to see me...I appreciate all the comments and encouragement!

Snow in Love Dressed Up

One more post today! Well I just couldn't leave this card alone...I just had to "dress" it up a little. Hope you all had a wonderful day today...See you all tomorrow and thanks tons for stopping to see me.

Snow in Love!

Morning! On today's card I used an image from the Stamping Boutique that was created by Stef called Snowman Hugs....it is the sweetest image....snowmen...I love working with them!! I used the Hearts Scallopped Nesties to cut out the heart shape and emboss it...I am thinking as I look at this card that it needs a little more embellishment! I may have to work on that and put out another version of this card! Colored with copics and added a few Stickles. The sentiment was computer generated. Hope everyone has a wonderful day today. Thanks so much for stopping by to visit me.

Birthday Wishes

Good morning! Well the last day in a long weekend for me...where did all the time off go? Seemed like the time off went so fast...but I am thankful for what I had. Yesterday I spent some time with Stef... aka Glitterbabe... I enjoyed our visit so much and look forward to our next!
Todays card is one I created on the fly this weekend for my DIL. She had asked me to create a birthday card for her best friend's birthday. She wanted it to be something special...I chose an image from Fred She Said that I had purchased some time ago. The image came with paper piercing guides...I rather like the effect however it was time consuming. I colored the flowers with copics and added some bling with the Clear Sakura glitter pen. The sentiment is from SU and the scoring was done with the Scor Pal...added a few pearls. Today I need to work on a card for a 50th anniversary. Well, enough yaking for now...hope you have a wonderful day and thanks again for visiting me today and every day!

Happy Holidays

Good morning everyone! I have been missing in action for a few days...hope you all have had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Ours was joyous as we celebrated it with our sons and their families...of course we all ate way too much but it was so fun just to sit around afterwards and visit. Now the mad rush is on for Christmas! My husband and I did brave the Black Friday crowds in two local stores...hmmmm...was way toooooo many people for me! But speaking of the holidays, todays card was created with that in mind. I used the "A Little Bit of Christmas" digi stamp from Stef at the Stamping Boutique to create this card. I pulled a couple of the images into photoshop to color...matted the finished image on green and red paper. The "inchies" on the side of the card were created using some dp from Hobby Lobby. The card base was created using the Dots embossing folder from Sizzix. Well today, I am off to visit my friend Stef (aka glitterbabe)! We will be talking and working on the computer, talking and eating....talking and talking....LOL....MAYBE get some crafting done! Have a great day today...I will be out to catch up on my visiting everyone later on today. Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today!

Joy to the World

Happy Hump Day! Today's card is a little out of the ordinary for xmas...purple is not a typical xmas color but I thought maybe with the gold I could make it look Christmasy. :) And my stamp...I really struggled with coloring it cause of the solid area...if I used red ink...the whole Santa would have been in red...didn't really want that so I thought what about just leaving it black and white? So that is what I did and added some Diamond Stickles to Santa's suit to give the card some bling and a Stardust GellyRoll gold glitter pen was used on the stars to brighten them up. I used a Martha S punch on my center layer and stamped the snowflakes using a Studio g stamp I had purchased from JoAnn Fabrics last winter. Of course, you know me...I HAD to add some embossing...I used the Sizzix Dots embossing folder. This was a fun card to make and I may have gotten carried away on my layers but I do like how it turned out. Well off to clean my house for Thanksgiving! Hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving...I know I am very thankful for my blogging friends...bless you for stopping by!

Peace Dove

Hello all! Sorry for such a late posting today...had so much going on today and didn't get to my craft room as early as I planned...but I do have a very simple card for you tonight...it was very easy to put together. I used an image from Stef at the Stamping Boutique. The sentiment was computer generated. I used the Cuttlebug Victoria embossing folder...I just thought it tied in so well with the branch that the dove is carrying. I hope you all had a wonderful day today and thanks so much for dropping in to see me. Hope to see you all again tomorrow with another creation. :)...till then...take care.

Happy Birthday Shy Bear

Oh my oh my!!! I am addicted to Shy Bears!!!! Is this the cutest image you ever saw??? And I just loved coloring it and creating my card. The Shy Bears are Squigglefly digi images and I am OVER my fear of working with them. Love them. Ok...so here is how I made the card after coloring the image with Copics...wanted to add a little bling to the card so I added some clear glitter using those Sakura Strardust pens that I love. I embossed the card using the Sizzix Flowers embossing folder. I tapped an oval picture frame mat on the outside of the embossing folder prior to embossing so the embossing would only appear around my image and not on it....how cool is that? The sentiment is computer generated using the Adorable font...and then I matted the image on a piece of SU paper that had been punched at the bottom using MS Lace Heart punch. I used some of the leftover hearts from the punch to embellish the bottom of the card and then rounded my corners. I was going to add ribbon to the card but decided to leave it alone...what do you think? Ribbon or no ribbon? Well thanks so much for stopping by and leaving me some love. Hope your day is a great one...I will be by to see you.

Fifth Day of Xmas

Good morning! Well here is the first snowman card created with those 12  lovely snowmen from the Stamping Boutique. Isn't this just a darling image??? Course I have a weakness for snowmen. I created my sentiment along a path in Photoshop and colored the image with copics. Used a few Sakura GellyRoll Stardust pens to add some bling to the rings and used Diamond Stickles on the snowman for accent. The ribbon and paper the image was matted on was sent to me by Tracey...thanks tons Tracey! The card base is embossed with the Snowflakes Sizzix embossing folder and accented with the Clear Stardust pen. Well off to Galena today with my friend from work...hope you all have a wonderful day today and thanks so much for stopping to see me again.

Road is never long!

Today's card is an achievement for me...I have been wanting so bad to try the Shy Bears digi stamps from Squigglefly for some time now. The are such cute images but I was not confident that I could color them. My friend Holly insisted that I had nothing to be afraid of because the designer really did all the work for us with the shading....so I hurried to the store and bought one to try....geesh ok...I bought a FEW to try. Once you see these little buggers you can't just buy one! Anyhoooo...I colored the image with copics and created my sentiment in photoshop. Added a few punched pieces of paper and some ribbon to trim and VOILA...Holly was right, not too hard at all. However, if you notice, on the left hand side of the image, there are a couple of "blobs" of the darker green in the grass...my copic pen DRIPPED!! I have not been using these pens long but have never had one do that to me! I store them on their side so all the ink don't go to one end but for some reason this one had a real problem today. I almost gave up, but tried my best to blend it in...of course it happened as I was almost completely done coloring! But for the first try, I am happy with it and will do more. Don't forget digi day at Squigglefly SNR at 7PM central...8 PM eastern tonight. Hope to see you there. Thanks for stopping by to see me today!

Simply Snowflakes

Good morning to everyone...Friday! Yeah! I don't have a lot planned for the weekend but am so glad it is approaching! Hope your week has been a good one. The weather here is actually going to be in the 50's today with a little sun...which will be so nice as we haven't seen much of that for a while. And by Thanksgiving we may see SNOWFLAKES!!! I truly do love snow...fresh fallen snow....just don't like shoveling!!! Keeping on the subject of snow, today's card is a simple snowflake card. The embossed part of this card was created using the Cuttlebug Snowflakes folder...and the snowflake was cut using one of my cricut cartridges. Layered with a little shimmery silver paper, this card was simple but a little elegant looking. I hope to have some snowmen/women cards to show you in the next few days. Tracey has some awesome snowmen/women for sale at the Stamping Boutique. There are 12 of them! She created them with the 12 Days of Christmas in mind. Please take a moment to go check them out and come back to see me for a view of my creations with them.
AND, tomorrow is digi day at Squigglefly SNR...can't wait to see the new images released...come join in the fun...there are gonna be prizes and games and loads of fun.
Have a wonderful day today and thanks tons for visiting today.

Hello everyone...glad to have you visit me. For today's card, I tried to capture the scene of a "Silent Night". Not sure this is really what I was trying to achieve but it didn't turn out too bad. The stamp is Inkadinkado. I created the sky using Memento Paris Dusk and London Fog. The "snow" was created by covering that area with white embossing powder and then a light layer of Diamond Stickles...then the trees were outlined with a Clear GellyRoll Stardust pen. The sentiment was computer generated. Holy moly...this took me quite a while to do!

By the way, don't forget to surf on over to the Stamping Boutique today for their release! Wait till you see the new set Tracy has come up with! You can find all the fun at the SNR, the Forum and at PaperCraft Planet...hope to see you all there. Have a wonderful day and thanks again for stopping by!

Good Morning! Another rainy cold day here...really wanted to just stay at home and play today...but need to head off to work. Before I do, wanted to leave you with a card that I created while playing with a technique shown on Stamp TV called Split Negative...Although it was a little labor intensive, I do love the technique and the effect it creates. I think the only thing I would do differently is get myself a different type of gold embossing cause what I used was not as impressive as I had hoped. All the paper used was from stash I had and the sentiment is SU. I really hope your day is superb...off to work I go! Thanks for stopping by today to see me...I really appreciate your comments.

You Make My Heat Sing

Good morning! Today's card was created for Stef's challenge over at Squigglefly...wow you should see some of the cards created by this talented group of ladies! Why don't you grab a Squigglefly image and come play along? There are some freebie images to play with as well as a Nab it image everyday for a very very low price. And if you haven't seen the Shy Bears...oh you don't know what you are missing! LOL...I haven't tried one yet cause I am not sure of my coloring but I am going to tackle one soon! I chose an easy image to work with called Heart Sings. The color challenge was to use blue, brown and yellow...I colored my image with Copics and then matted it on brown and yellow paper cut with the Nestabilities Long Classic and Scalloped Rectangles. The ribbon is from SU and the pearls I colored with my Copics. Oh and the card base is DE-bossed with the Cuttlebug D'Vine Swirl embossing folder. Hope you enjoyed your visit with me today...thanks for stopping by.

Little Miracle

OOOOOOH isn't this image so sweet? I just love it...I can see it being used for so many different types of cards for boys and girls! Tracey has given us a freebie to work with at the Stamping Boutique group at SNR Card Universe...we have reached 100 members...if you haven't been over to the group, stop by and join in the fun. I used the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder to emboss the card base and to cut the sentiment which was from the New Baby set. The image was colored with Copics...added a little chalk to the sky and some bling to the stars. Be sure to stop by the Stamping Boutique on Thursday for a mini release of some new images...oh if you love snowmen, you are gonna love these!! I will remind you. :) And oh, by the way Tracey is having a 30% off sale at the Boutique right now so surf on over. Thanks for stopping by to see me today. Hope your day was wonderful!

Thinking of You...Today and Always

Hello all...hope you are having a wonderful Sunday. I haven't got a lot planned today...might have some of the grandbabies for a little while today. Today's card is a combination of 2 Squigglefly images...Circle Sentimennts and Rose and Rings. I did edit the Rose and Rings image a little to remove the rings. I think this made a really nice simple but elegant card. The embossing is the Sizzix Diamonds embossing folder...and of course you can see that I used my Circle Nestabilities! Colored the image with Copics and added a few pearls. What do you think? This card could be used for many occassions...birthdays, thinking of you, get well, even anniversary (I would have left the rings with it for an anniversary card though)....Hope you like! Have a wonderful Sunday and thanks for stopping by.

Merry Christmas to All...

Greetings! Although today is a absolutely gorgeous day here...I was so wanting to create Christmas cards...and I am so pleased to have been able to use an image from my friend Stef. The image is called Santa Sleigh...at first it really scared me because there was quite a bit of detail in the jolly old guy...but he was actually a breeze to color once I got past my fright! LOL...imagine Santa scaring me!!! I actually created the blue background, stars and the moon in Photoshop and then colored Stef's image with Copic markers...If you haven't gotten a chance to take a look at Stef's images, she can be found at the Stamping Boutique or at her Etsy shop. Hop on over to see her...she has some awesome images. Well, off to church in a while...reading tonight so I need to go take a look at the readings before I go. Have a great evening...I will be out to see you all tonight some time. Thanks for stopping to see me.

Happy Anniversary

Whoooo Hoooo! Finally Friday. Good morning all....are you as glad for Friday to be here as I am? This has been a rather rough week for me at work with the install of a new database server so I will be glad to have a break for a couple of days. Today's card is rather a simple one but it really does look elegant in real life. The sentiment is computer generated with the Adorable font. The card was embossed with a Sizzix folder called Vine Label. I then used a Sakura Gelly Roll Stardust clear pen to add the "bling". This card was created for my dear DIL and son for their anniversary...which was Wednesday. Thanks tons for stopping to see me today. See you tomorrow friends!

Snowman Laundry

Hug a Veteran today!!!

Good morning! Slightly chilly here in the Illinois Valley this morning...we have been spoiled with temps in the middle 60's for quite a few days so the 30 degree temps this morning were a little shocking! Speaking of cold, today's card is a little on the chilly side! Tracey has a challenge going on at the SNR Card Universe for Stamping Boutique and she has given an image to work with. Thanks tons Tracey! The challenge is to show off our techniques for making snow! Stop on over and play along...there is a lot of fun going on there. For my card, I scored my base card with the Scor Pal...colored my image with copic markers. I used a silver Sakura Gelly Roll Glitter pen to highlight the stars and chalked a little blue on the sky. My snow is Diamond Dust purchased in the Christmas craft aisle at Hobby Lobby. I created my sentiment on the computer. I scored around the image with the Scor Pal as well and then matted it on some red card stock from Hobby Lobby. The ribbon is also from Hobby Lobby. Oh, and I finaly figured out what I was doing wrong with my pictures of my cards!! Today's card you should be able to click on it and get a larger image of it...most of my other cards to this point you would get an image the same size as originally displayed. So go ahead and click on that card!!! It looks better in a larger display.  :) I am off to work today with a little anxiety...we put a new server into production last night and this is the first day for staff to be using it...all seemed to go well but one never knows...wish me luck! Thanks so much for visiting me today...your kind words keep me going. I plan on doing a little visiting myself later on so be looking for me!

So Kind Notecard

Good morning! I have a quick card to post for today...last night was not a good night to me so I didn't spend a lot of time in my craft room. I have been dealing with a frozen shoulder for about 6 months and it was being more of a pain in my rear last night than ever! LOL...But anyway, I did put together another photo card. I am really liking how these are turning out. They look much better than the photo presents but you get the idea. The photo was taken on the Gulf when we went on our dolphin tour this fall. Before I placed the photo on the card base, I scored a square on the card with the Scor Pal to add some dimension around the photo. The sentiment is from one of my Cuttlebug dies. Hope you all have a great day today and I will be off to see you all later on today. Thanks for taking the time to come see me today.

Baptism

Hello again! Wow, first I have to say how overwhelmed I am at all the nice comments I received on my card for the Blog Hop! I thank each and every one of you from the bottom of my heart! The hop so neat wasn't it? I loved all the inspiration and all the new images available. Well for today's card, I am showing the card I made for my littlest grandson's baptism which is today. The embossed layer is the Cuttlebug folder Baby...I had to emboss the paper twice as I was using a much larger piece of paper than the folder would emboss. the blue paper was some free digital paper that I printed out to use...I liked the soft blue color of it. The image was some clip art I had found on the internet and I added our baby's name and his date of baptism. Of course, I used the standard and scalloped circle nestabillities to frame out my image. Added some ribbon it was done. What do you think? Well I am off to finish getting ready for the baptism...have a great day today and again, I can't thank you all enough for the wonderful comments on yesterday's card.

Welcome to the 3's a Charm Blog Hop!

Hello! Welcome to our blog hop. Hope you have been having tons of fun looking at all the wonderful images along the way! This has been way way much fun hasn't it??? Lots of fun prizes to be had along the way too including a set of 12 Copic markers being given away by Tracey at The Stamping Boutique. Be sure to leave comments to have a chance to win some of these lucious prizes! If you came here via Maria's, then you are on the right track! Otherwise you can start at the beginning at Sunshine's so you don't miss a thing! My card today was made with a sweet image from the Stamping Boutique called "First Dance"...isn't it just the sweetest? I colored the image with Copics and then brushed the edges. The card base was actually a 5x7 pre-embossed card with the silver lining around the embossing. I was able to mat the finished image on a piece of cardstock cut to just the right size to fit inside the silver embossing. The sentiment was computer generated and cut out with a Spellbinders Ribbon Tags Trio. Well thanks tons for stopping by to see me and be sure to continue on to the next stop which is Mary's. Have a great rest of your day.
