Good Friday morning! This seems to have been a long work week and I am ready for the weekend to be here! Tonight my kids are all coming home for dinner and I get to see all 4 of my grandbabies! I am excited to have them home. Family has always been so important to me since I started to have one of my own. We are actually celebrating my one of my sweet DIL's birthday...and tomorrow I will post a pic of the card I created for her...but for today, my card above is about friends! The circle sentiment is one of my creations available at the Boutique. It says "Friends...are umbrellas in the storms of life..." and how true that is. The card base was cut on my cricut...I added a bow and some background paper. Well, enough for today...I will be back tomorrow with that bday card I promised. Take care, have a great day and don't forget to hug a friend! I will be by to see you all a little later in the day...thank you so much for being here for me!

Today is Stef's Thursday Sketch challenge...hop on over to the blog and check out the sketch and what the design team has cooked up...and we would love you to play along! For my card, my paper was all from my paper stash...I colored the image with copics, added a little bling know me, gotta have a little! The colored strips were embossed with a cuttlebug embossing folder and voila! Wishing each and every one of you a wonderful day today and thanks so much for stopping in to see me. Good morning! I am finding I am off to a slow start with blogging...but I promise to get back to me....this illness really did knock my socks off. This is another card I had created before I got sick and just didn't get it posted. The card base was cut on my cricut using one of my cartridges. I am failing to remember which one at this moment but if you are interested in that, be sure to let me know so I can get that information to you! The heart stamps on the background are from a wonderful set of stamps that I had won from Whimsie Doodles called Lil Cupid...such a fun set to play with. I stamped the hearts in VersaMark ink and used clear embossing powder and my heat gun...created an awesome background. I added the white background behind the hearts embossed with the Love Language Cuttlebug embossing folder...I cut it so it would show slightly over the front edge of the card. The "love" sentiment was also cut with my cricut in Design Studio. On the inside of the heart, I cut a couple of hearts using the Nestabilities Hearts dies, embossed them and added a little glitter. Hope you liked my creation! Well off to start my day, and I hope yours is wonderful. Thanks from the bottom of my heart for sticking in there with me!

I'm Back!

Well good morning to all! I am so sorry for the long absence...that cold/flu that I had really knocked me on my tail...After almost a week and a half of its onset, I am now feeling well enough to blog! Have not done any creations...the ones you will see over the next few days had been created prior to getting sick and they have been sitting on my desk waiting for me! Well this card is my first easel card! It was fun to make and I do believe I will be making more cards with this design. This card was created using one of my own sentiment designs from the Stamping Boutique. I pop dotted the sentiment on to the Contemporary Hearts pendant shapeability from Spellbinders. The background paper of the card has been embossed with using the Friends embossing folder from Sizzix. For the inside of the card, I created a strip of the same embossing and glued some of the hearts from the pendant cutout on it. Although the card is small (4 1/4 square) I think it turned out great. Well, that is it for today...thanks so much for coming back to see me after such a long absence! I promise that I will be back out to see all of you this I hope to feel stronger each day to come now!
