Welcome to the 3's a Charm Blog Hop!
Hello! Welcome to our blog hop. Hope you have been having tons of fun looking at all the wonderful images along the way! This has been way way much fun hasn't it??? Lots of fun prizes to be had along the way too including a set of 12 Copic markers being given away by Tracey at The Stamping Boutique. Be sure to leave comments to have a chance to win some of these lucious prizes! If you came here via Maria's, then you are on the right track! Otherwise you can start at the beginning at Sunshine's so you don't miss a thing! My card today was made with a sweet image from the Stamping Boutique called "First Dance"...isn't it just the sweetest? I colored the image with Copics and then brushed the edges. The card base was actually a 5x7 pre-embossed card with the silver lining around the embossing. I was able to mat the finished image on a piece of cardstock cut to just the right size to fit inside the silver embossing. The sentiment was computer generated and cut out with a Spellbinders Ribbon Tags Trio. Well thanks tons for stopping by to see me and be sure to continue on to the next stop which is Mary's. Have a great rest of your day.

Simple Snowflake Card
WWWHHOOO HOOO it is finally Friday! I have a very simple card for today but I am so pleased on how it turned out. The card base was just the plain white paper...the cardstock on top was out of the 12x12 sheets of cardstock in one of the K&Company Specialty paper packs I have been using...I just loved the snowflake image and all the glitter on this paper so I cut it to fit an A2 card front...both the topper paper and the base were trimmed with the Martha Stewart Lace Punch. I then added the ribbon and really was satisfied with how it turned out. I was tempted to add more to the front but decided that the card spoke for itself as is. I took another portion of that same paper and layered it on the inside of the card and stamped my sentiment on it....
Simple but on the elegant side.
Don't forget the blog hop tomorrow....it will be loads of fun. Be sure to stop by to see all the creations from the Stamping Boutique Design team as well as Sunshine's Stamps and Ildi co!!! More information to come later on today. Thanks so much for stopping by to visit me today. Your visits keep me inspired. Hugs to all of you!

Peace in the Valley
Good morning ladies. Wow, we have sunshine here in the Illinois Valley again today! WHHHOOO HOOOO! And it appears we will be seeing the sun quite a lot in the next 5 or 6 days. We have a baptism for our Baby Collin on Sunday and it looks like it is going to be a nice WARM day...in the middle 60's. Oh gosh I have to get that card made soon too! Anyhooo today's card is a simple one...and the picture of it is not so good but was the best I could do. I need a lightbox to take pics of my cards...hmmm might be an idea for Xmas. I used the Cuttlebug Folder called Winter House...and it is matted on 2 shades of green cardstock. Used the SU corner punch on the corners and then applied glue to the bottom area to add some glitter. The Peace sentiment is from SU also. Have a great day today and thanks again for making a stop at my house today on your travels.

Always Believe!
Hello! Isn't the image on this card just so sweet? The image is from The Stamping Boutique and it is called Santa in the Window. I colored the image with the few copics that I have...I just need to get MORE! I really wanted the image to look "Christmasy" and struggled with that...but did manage to get some reds and greens in there. The paper used to mat the image on was some that I had picked up at Hobby Lobby made by Paper Studio...just thought it would go with what I was trying to achieve. BUT, this darn paper would not cut on my cutter...I had to cut it freehand. There is a layer of brushed silver under that which came from a pack of American Crafts Christmas Foil...again from Hobby Lobby. The sentiment was a stamp I had purchased from JoAnn Fabrics last year...one of those little $1.00 packages of clear stamps by Studio G. Hmmmm...can you tell where I spend most of my time...and MONEY????!!! Our Hobby Lobby is only about 15 minutes away from me and on my way home from work so I ususally find myself stopping there quite frequently. Don't forget about the blog hop coming up on Saturday...is will be tons of fun! That's all for tonight, going to clean up my craft room a little before heading to bed. Thanks so much for coming by...I have lots of catching up to do with all of you as well...see you tomorrow!

Photo card
Hello again! Today's card is a little out of the ordinary for me and a little out of my comfort zone but I think it turned out pretty good. I am not a photographer at all but love to take pictures of scenery and nature...and of course my grandbabies! The photo on this card is one I took of the sunrise from the balcony of our room when we were on vacation in Rockport, Texas. I had a stressful day today and I had such a peaceful and relaxing time in Texas...working with this photo helped me to unwind. Hope you like the card even though there is no stamping on it! I may make more as time goes. I hope you all had a great day today. Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today. Hugs to all!

Ho Ho Ho
OMG!!!! Have you been to Squigglefly lately???? If not, I suggest you RUN over there to see all the new images released on Saturday nignt. Kudos to the artists. The card above was made from "Jolly Old St Nick", one of the new images. How cute is that? I created this card for Stef's color challenge...rules were to use red, white, and blue. First thing that came to mind for me was something patriotic...but I was not really wanting to go there...so the paper I found to use was perfect for this image! The paper pack was from K&Company... 12x12 double sided Brenda Walton Specialty Paper. Because I wanted to use both sides of the paper, I decided to do a gatefold card. I created my sentiment around the image in Photoshop...I was really pleased with the way it turned out...I actually went ahead and colored the jolly old guy in photoshop too while I was in there. The image was matted using standard and scalloped circle Nestabilities and then I used Frost Stickles on his beard and Crystal Stickle on his hat and coat.
Thanks for stopping by to visit me today...I will be by to visit you all a little later...have the coffee on!

Warm Winter Wishes
As chilly as it is today, it feels like winter is just around the corner...no I mean REALLY around the corner. But if I am sounding a little out of my mind, how silly did I sound yesterday when I THOUGHT I was loosing an hour? Stress will do strange things to a person. The image from today's card is one of my new ones from the Stamping Boutique called Snowman Scrapbook Journal...I think he looks adorable on a card! The recipie for this card: card base from American Crafts Earth Tones cardstock...the vellum layer was ran through the Cuttlebug using Sizzix Snowflakes folder...Nestabilities Classic and Scalloped rectangles framed the image. Red ribbon is from Hobby Lobby. I used the ZIG glue pen to outline around the image and then sprinkled on some Lily White glitter.I really liked how the vellum took on a life of it's own after embossing. It was hard for me not to add some more embellies...the tempataion was there but I felt they would only compete with the rest of the card. That's all for today...enjoy your day! Thanks for stopping by!
