????? Card

Good afternoon from rainy, cold Illinois! Fall is upon us...rather quickly this week. Today's card is one that I had done a while ago and just haven't decided what I really didn't like about it. I struggle with coloring and shadowing...well I think I can color...it is the shadowing and blending that get me every time! But here is my creation. The digital image is a freebie from http://fred-she-said.blogspot.com/. I added some "raindrops" to the image to give it some interest. Of course I used the Nestabilities rectangle both classic and scalloped. The thank you sentiment is from a SU stamp set. Most likely I will not post a card tomorrow as I am off to see Stef! I am so excited to finally get to meet her...she just cracks me up and makes me smile! Then when I get home I will be busy with my two of my grandsons who are coming for an overnight visit! I hope to see you all again on Saturday. Thanks for stopping in to see me today. Have a great rest of your day.

Hugs,
Vicki

Card for Challenge

Hello again! Today's card actually was made for Stef's challenge #5 over at SNR Card Universe. But after creating it I realized I probably needed to use a Squigglefly image and I don't have a lot of markers or ink that fit the color challenge...so I didn't enter the card in the challenge...but here it is in all its glory! The challenge was to use ruby red, kraft, white and grayish blue colors...I embossed the blue and kraft squares with the Sizzix Damask folder and the card base was embossed with the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder. The flower stamps were from SU (Greenhouse Garden)...I used Momento Summer Sky, London Fog, Bamboo Leaves, and Lady Bug inks to do my stamping. Photo corners were cut with a SU punch and the lace border was MS of course! :) Have a wonderful day today and thanks so much for coming to see me.

Too Cute to Spook!

Another card for today! This one was created last night but wanted to get the OK from my DIL to post it on my blog cause it contains a pic of our baby grandaughter. I took some pics of my grandchildren this weekend and one pic just stood out for me...our little grandaughter and how darn stinking cute she is. And the hair...got to love those curls. We say she looks like Shirley Temple! Anyways...who could spook a cutie pie like that? So for her Halloween card, the sentiment was just that..."Too Cute to Spook". Although you cannot tell it in the pic, I embossed the orange card stock with the Skeleton Scroll cuttlebug folder. Because of the size of my card I had to run it through the cuttlebug twice but in all reality it didn't show much anyway. :) The spider web frame I cut using a file downloaded from Carla at http://scrappedlives.nl/. Carla is good at using SCAL to create files that we can use on our Cricut. The pumpkin is a die combo for the cuttlebug called Pumpkin Spice. Of course I had to add some bling so I used green and orange Stickles on the pumpkin. The font I downloaded from the internet...it was just called Halloween.  Hope you enjoyed this card as much as I did making it. Have a good night and stay warm! It is going to get rather chilly here tonight and a chance of frost for tomorrow night...just a sign of things to come. Thanks for stopping by.

Baby Card

Good morning! How are you all on this brisk Tuesday morn? OOOOOOHHHH it was COLD this morning getting out of bed...and tomorrow will be worse! Our temps are supposed to be down to 35 in the morning...like I said yesterday...a sign of what is coming! Today's card is a fairly simple card. I embossed the white paper with the Cuttlebug Baby folder....it has lots of sweet baby sentiments on it. I had found the sticker at our LSS and couldn't resist it...although I see it is kind of hard to make out it is a baby buggy. I embellished the wheels with pearls and added a ribbon. Got to use my Crop A Dile to attach the eyelets. That is something I don't use a lot and really should. I love that tool and just had to have it so I better start using it more! (Lecture to myself) :) Well thanks for stopping by today and hope to see you again soon.

Freebie image!

Hello, I do hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Today was a nice sunshiny day here in Central Illinois...I don't think we will see too many more of these types of days as fall is rapidly approaching. I think I am ready for the season change. Today's card was created from a freebie image from my friend Stef at http://glitterbabegreetings.blogspot.com/. I am so happy for Stef as this is her first digital image...please pay Stef a visit and join her daffodil challenge. For my card, I decided to color the image with copics but then "glitterized" the flower with Diamond Dust! Glitter for glitterbabe...it is only appropriate! I also used small pearls on the stamens of the flower. The image was cut out and mounted on several different colors of paper from Stampin Up. I used the Long Classic Rectangles and the Long Classic Scalloped Rectangles from Spellbinders to cut out the rectangles. The sentiment was stamped using a stamp purchased from Joan Fabrics. The ribbon was just a roll of grosgrain white ribbon from Wally World. Thanks tons for stopping to see me today and be sure to hop on over to see Stef, grab that image and play along. Till Later!
