Freebie Tulips

Happy Friday ladies! Oh gosh am I glad the weekend is here! First because I am beat and ready for a break from work and second because I plan on spending some time with Glitterbabe on Sunday and can't wait! Well this card is a nice springy card and the image was a freebie from Fred She Said...she created it for the Stars and Stamps blog...be sure to visit their blog! Lots of inspiration. I had a blast coloring this image with my copics! I must say this is really the first time in a long time I have been happy with my coloring! Does that mean I am finally getting it??? LOL! But the real challenge for me with this card was the border! I used a MS around the page punch...well all of us who use these punches know that you can only use certain sizes of paper to create the punched design....my image did not fit into those dimensions. So I punched 3 different pieces of paper out with the punch and then lined them up to go around my card....lot of work...turned out ok...not sure I will do that again...but it was a challenge I was not going to give up on. Hope you like it! Also, I wanted to reminde you that if you have not commented on my giveaway card on my Wednesday post, you have until noon today to post a comment there. I will be posting the winner on my blog either later on today or Saturday morn! Thanks tons for stopping in to see me and leaving some love...have a great day today!

Thursday Sketch Challenge

Whooo hooo! It is time for the Stamping Boutique's Thursday Sketch Challenge! We have another sweet sketch from Becky Fleck at Page Maps...

I used one of the Pocket Patooties from the Stamping Boutique and did some Photoshop work on it so I ended up with the pocket only...added my sentiment tag...which was computer generated...and then some ribbon and the "friends" embellie. Please be sure to check out what the rest of our creative DT designed at the Stamping Boutique Challenge Blog! Well I am off for another rigourous day at work...still training our staff for another two weeks! Don't forget to comment on the Sympathy card from yesterday...it is a giveaway card! Thanks to all of you ladies who already commented!!! I truly appreciate the love you left. Have a wonderful day today!

Sympathy Card Giveaway

Hello ladies! Well today's card was my "play" card this week! And...I will be giving this card away to one of my commenters! Yep, if you are interested in winning this card, leave me some love by Friday morn and I will pick a random winner around noon on Friday. This card was created using an SU stamp set called Thoughts and Prayers...the sentiment was stamped in Momento Rich Cocoa and the tree was actually double stamped with Momento Bamboo Leaves and Rich Cocoa. The paper was punched with my new MS around the page Eyelet Lace....I think it turned out really serene and pretty. Added a ribbon from my stash. I used the new Papertrey Ink paper that I mentioned I just got for the card base and the brown liner. I hope you enjoyed your visit today....be sure to leave a comment on this post so you have a chance to win the card! Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a glorious day today!

Curiosity

Good morning! Wow it is going to be a challenge getting to work this morning! The fog here is so dense...second day in a row! Yesterday the fog was still hanging around here till almost noon....hope this is a sign spring is coming! Well on to the card for today....take a look at this image...is it a beauty or what? This is another of Tracey's images over at the Stamping Boutique....Curiosity. I colored the image with copics, chalked the background, Cut the image out mounted it on my card nestled in the swirls (which were leftover from a cricut cut). The flowers were white paper flowers that I colored with copic markers. The sentiment is actually a Christmas stamp that I had gotten at JoAnn Fabrics one day...thought it worked well with this image. And, oh gosh, I have to tell you I started using Papertrey paper...it is awesome paper and love my purchase. I really recommend their paper if you are looking for some nice heavy cardstock...and it works well with copics. Well, I better get my work day started. Hope yours is an awesome day! Thanks for stopping in to see me.

Serenity

Hello! I am so glad to be back home and creating again...and will be able to visit all of you again! Being away from my craft room was hard...and it was even harder to not be able to visit all of you to see what you have been up to! But this week should be better for me so let's keep our fingers crossed. And oh my gosh...you just have to see the new images Tracey has been creating! Meet Serenity...is she not the most awesome angel you have ever seen!??? She is new to the Boutique...Tracey really did a great job with her. I created the card in photoshop so I could do the gradient background and the sentiment...once printed, I colored the image with copics and added some bling with my Sakura Stardust Gelly Roll pens. The corners were punched with a Fiskars punch that I have in my stash. I really love this image and will be using it a lot I believe! Well off to work today...I will stop by to see you all later in the evening. Thanks for stopping in to see me and leaving some love!
