Another Twisted Paper Design

Well, here is my second card today! This is the other card I mentioned that I had created with the Twisted Paper Valentine image. Is this not an awesome image or what? I really didn't do much with the image after downloading it other than adding some glitter around the heart and on the ribbon...I love the rose. And the heart cut out panel is the same one I used  on the other card...Well, I hope you liked the design...take care and thanks for stopping back in today! Have a great day!

Have a Fairy Nice Day!

Good morning! Well today I am going to post 2 cards...simply because I have been promising that second card that I created from the Twisted Papers valentine image and I need to post for our Digi Day at The Stamping Boutique! Come join us on Friday, January 15th from 7-9pm for our first 2010 Digi-Day event. We have exciting things planned for a fun evening and will be showcasing the newly released "Cynthia" images. We would like for you to create a project using the adorable image Tracey has posted as a FREEBIE for you to download. Hop on over to the Boutique on SNR and get all the deets! My card was created all digitally...my first. I used a free digital kit from Shabby Princess to my project. I also colored Cynthia digitally...I have a lot to learn about coloring digitally so there is not a alot of shading...but for my first try, I am liking it! And will most likely do more creations like this. Thanks so much for stopping in to see me again today...I promise to be by to see you all today...yesterday I was so overwhelmed with work (I work full time) that I needed a break last night.

Stamping Boutique Sketch Challenge

Oh gosh I know I promised another Twisted Papers valentine card today...I will post it tomorrow. Today is a new sketch challenge over at PCP and SNR! Stef has a new sketch for us to create with. And what a great sketch it is. My image is from the Stamping Boutique and is colored with copic markers...except for her dress...although you really can't tell, her dress was digitally colored using the same paper that the heart next to her is made out of. I embossed my card base with Sizzix Dots folder and then brayered some pink ink on it. My layers were made out of some scraps of paper that I had on hand...I embossed the pinkish layer and the other layer is a heart cut out with the Scalloped hearts Nestis...the paper was digital paper that I had also used on her dress...I generated the sentiment on the computer. Why don't you stop on by and join in the fun! We would love to see you there. Well I hope you all have a wonderful day today...thanks for all the comments and love left yesterday...it really lifts one's spirits. I will be by to see you all later in the day today.

Twisted Papers Valentine

Oh gosh isn't this a cool image? I am really liking the images on Twisted Papers. Have you been there to see what they have yet? If not, pay them a visit! There are also some freebies for January if you want to nab them and try them out. I will be posting another one tomorrow...the other deets on this card...I used a cut file from SVG Cuts called A2 Lace Edge Cards to make the card base...outlined the cutout hearts with a glitter pen and viola...one cute card! Thanks for stopping by and leaving me some love! Have a great day today!

The Stamping Boutique "I have a dream" Challenge

Good morning! Welcome the the 2nd challenge at the Stamping Boutique for 2010....this challenge was to create a card using any Stamping Boutique image and use the phrase "I have a dream" for inspiration. This was a fun challenge because I knew a perfect image from the store that I wanted to use...this is the Twirling Girl image...is she awesome or what? I added the background to the image using photoshop brushes for the sky and the grass...colored the young lady with copics. The saying on the card I had found online one time and wrote it down just in case I could ever use it...I thought it fit this challenge perfectly! What do you think? Dream Big is from JustRite Stamps and cut out using the circle nesities...I used the MS loopy punch, some ribbon and the Dots embossing folder from Sizzix to add some dimension to the card. Why not stop by and play with us? We would love to see what you create. Hope you have a great day and thanks for stopping by to see what I have been up to!

Squigglefly card

Well, I did make it back today! Better late than not at all! The card posted above was done with an image from Squigglefly...this image just spoke to me and my second passion...gardening! Oh how I would love to have a potting shed like this. Anyhooo, I colored the image with SU markers...no copics on this one. Tried to create the impression of a worn but loved potting shed. The image was mounted on SU card stock punched with MS Lace Border punch. The sentiment is from SU as well. It is very hard to see in the pic but I also did some scoring on each side of the image with my scor pal. Hope you enjoyed your visit and thanks for coming back to see me tonight. Tomorrow will be a Stamping Boutique challenge so be sure to come by to see what we have cooked up for you and join in the fun! Bless you all...

Won some blog candy!

Good morning! Well I have my house back in order and I did get a few cards done but didn't get pics of them yet..so I thought for now I would share some goodies with you that I was so lucky to have won! I participated in the Whimsie Doodles blog hop last week....there are some absolutely stunning images there. The hop was fun...at each blog we gathered a letter and put the letters into a word at the end that would give us a discount when placing an order. The images above are what I won...the bottom image is actually a rubber stamp set that is being sent to me along with a sample pack of paper from My Mind's Eye...I can't wait to be able to use them. Thanks to the DT of Whimsie Doodles for the fun and the goodies! I will post a new card created with a Squigglefly image a little later on today so I do hope you come back! Thanks for stopping in today!
