Season's Greetings

Hello! Wow, it has been almost a week since I have posted! Time has gone by so quickly with the holiday hustle. I hope all of you are winding down with your holiday shopping! I am soooo close. Going to do a few last minute things this afternoon. I am not sure I will get back here before Christmas so I wanted to share possibly the last Christmas card! This was an easy peasy card! I let my designer paper do the work for me. This paper was some I had purchased from our local scrapbooking store prior to it closing down. It was a Murdock Country Creation called Winter Day...12x12 sheet. I added some glitter to the snow...matted it on some Gina K paper...stamped a sentiment...easy peasy! And quite beautiful! I want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas...and to thank you for the wonderful year you have given me! Thanks to each and every one of you for all the love and support!

Heavenly Christmas

Just logging in with a quick post tonight! Hope you are all well and had a wonderful day today. I just wanted to show you a card I created by request...The lady wanted a religious Christmas card created in purple hues...so here is my creation! I created the sentiment on the computer...the colored layer of the card was created using the Cuttlebug Brocade Window Emboss Plus folder. I added a little bling in the form of flat back pearls and irridescent cording (actually stitched on) from Pizzazz Aplenty...the pointsettia flower is from Making Memories...of couse I  had to bling it up a little with some glitter and some more of the flat back pearls in the center! Sorry for the quickie post today...off and running...hope to see you tomorrow!! YIPEE for me I have one more day of work (tomorrow) and I am off until December 28th! I am so looking forward to having some more time off! Thanks so much for stopping in to see me!

Toadally Merry Christmas

Oh wow, sorry for being gone so long...time has flown by for me! I spent all day Friday with two of my grandsons and they spent the night...Saturday morning after Dad came to pick them up, I went in to make the bed and pulled my back out of place picking up a pillow!!! Can you believe that!! Needless to say, Saturday and Sunday were a wash for me...couldn't sit, couldn't stand, etc! But today I did get into the chiropractor very early this morning so I am back on the road to recovery! AND...I haven't made my bed since!!! LOL. I have been blessed with two card orders from ladies at work...for a total of 18 Christmas cards. The one you see above is one of them. One of my ladies has a relative that loves frogs...so...this is my creation for her. Pretty simple...the image is from Pink Cat Studios...colored with copics and a little glitter added to the hat. The image was cut out with the Lacey Square Nestability then matted on two Inverted Scalloped Square nesties cut in half and lined up. The background of the card was embossed with a Cuttlebug folder and spritzed with Frost Shimmer. My sentiment was computer generated and cut out using the Labels Eight nestability...added some flatback pearls from Pizzazz Aplenty to the tag and used some of the Red and White Bakers Twine from Pizzazz Aplenty to tie the tag to the image. Turned out kind of cute! I hope to be back tomorrow with another creation...and I will be sure to come by and see all of you as well...I thank you for stopping in to see me today and hope the rest of your day is a great one!

Glitterbabe Challenge!

Hello it's Thursday and time for another Glitterbabe Challenge! This week Glitterbabe challenged her Glitterbugs to create a Christmas Card without the traditional red and green colors AND we are being sponsored by Pizzazz Aplenty!!! You have heard me talk about Pizzazz Aplenty for a while now...believe me, you HAVE to visit Judy...she has the most awesome bling at the most reasonable prices and of the utmost quality. For my card today the "bling" I used from Pizzazz Aplenty is the 8mm pink brads and the white metallic banyon leaves...gosh I so wish I had used a darker color so the leaves showed up better...they are awesome. If you want to see them a little closer, just click on the pic and you can see a close up. For the rest of the card design, I used Glitterbabe's Dove image as well as one of her Christmas sentiments. I so love the Dove image...it just makes me think of peace. Thanks to my dear friend Glitterbabe for drawing us such awesome images to create with! The corners for each of the layers was punched with a MS punch and the medallion is the Nestability Fleur de Lis....Oh and of course I had to add some embossing...the top pink layer is embossed with the Sizzix Snowflake #3 embossing folder. Please hop on over to the challenge blog and check out the rest of the DT's art! And play along with us!!! The prize is awesome...nope not telling you...get your hiney over to the challenge blog to see what it is!!! Hope your day is an awesome one...and I just want to say how much I appreciate all the comments on my cards...thank you soooo much!

Another Snowflake card!

Happy Hump Day!!! Well you guys are really going to think I am giving you one big snow job!!! All of my most recent postings have to do with snow and snowflakes! I PROMISE to change this up a bit for tomorrow! Today's creation I used the Cuttlebug Snowflake die to create the flake, Fancy Circle and Standard Circle nestabilities to mat it. I used an SU punch that I had purchased from Pizzazz Aplenty to make my silver border around the red layer...yeah it was time consuming to cut and try to line them up but it didn't turn out too bad. The ribbon I added was from my stash...more than likely from Hobby Lobby...and the Shiny Silver flatback pearls are also from Pizzazz Aplenty. The red cardstock is embossed with the Sizzix Snowflake #3 folder ...and yes, the card stock is also from Pizzazz Aplenty! I have ranted and raved about the texture and quality of this red card stock in previous posts...it is just right for the season. Be sure to check out the new and used craft items that Judy has for sale at Pizzazz Aplenty...she has stamps, ink, punches, cricut items, etc for sale. Well I am off to begin my day...I hope yours is a great one and I look forward to visiting you all later on tonight to see what you have been up to! Thanks for stopping by!

Sad Goodbye to Squigglefly

Happy Monday! This is a sad day for me...today is the last day for me on the Squigglefly DT...my term is up. I enjoyed working with the rest of the DT and with the Squigglefly images...thank you for having me Squigglefly! For our challenge today, we were to create a card using snow and or snowflakes...well if you have been visiting me lately, you know snowflakes come easy for me! LOL right up my alley as we sit in about 7 inches of new snow here in my neck of the woods! I chose to use Santa Mailbox image...colored with copics and Sakura Stardust Gelly Roll pens. I used some "Holly Snow" at the bottom of my image and added an embossed background of snowflakes using the Sizzix Snowflakes embossing folder. I used the Square Nestie and the Eyelet Square Nestie to enhance my image. Add a ribbon and some bling from Pizzazz Aplenty and voila...Be sure to join us over at the Challenge Blog...and check out my fellow DT members awesome creations for some inspiration. I hope your day is a great one...thanks so much for coming by and leaving some love!

To a Wonderful Friend

Hello everyone...I hope you are having a wonderful Sunday. I have been playing a little bit today, trying to catch up with challenges for the next week and having fun with a new image by Jess Holland at Squigglefly. The image is called Wonderful Friend. I decided to make this into a holiday card using the snowflakes and silver foil paper. The card base is cut out using the largest of the Labels Eight Nestabilites cut on a folded piece of paper. I then took the next size down from there and cut out the other white layer and embossed it with Sizzix Snowflakes #3 embossing folder. To get the silver layer, I took that same die and put it on the paper and traced around the oustide of it to get a slightly larger shape...of course I had to cut this layer out by hand. I cut the Oval shape out of the white layer using the Ovals Nestabilities...and becasue I wanted my oval cut out on the silver layer to be slightly smaller, I traced on the inside of that oval nestie and cut it out by hand as well. IF I was lucky enough to have both the Ovals LG and Ovals SM I would probably not had to do all that hand work, but since I don't, I improvised! I decided the card was complete once I cut out a white and black snowflake using the MS snowflake punch...I used an 8MM Crystal Brad trimmed in silver from Pizzazz Aplenty for the center of my snowflake. Thanks tons for stopping by! I plan on doing some visiting today now that I feel "caught up"...plan on seeing me at your place a little later on today!

Card and first snow!

Happy Saturday to you all! Well we got our first big snowfall of the season overnight last night and this morning...a whopping 7 inches for sure...could actually be more! Any of you who know me, know I LOVE snow! I am the one who gets all excited when a snow storm is predicted then depressed when whe don't get anything! LOL I know, crazy...So today's card is perfect for the weather outside! The background of the card is embossed with a Cuttlebug folder, cut and embossed the Beaded Oval Nestie....added some snowflake ribbon. The adornments on the ends of the ribbons are the ends of one of the Nestabilities Fancy Labels. The snowflake in the center of the card is a brad from Paper Studio Spare Parts...purchased at Hobby Lobby. Well, I have to run...lots to do today and not enough time in the day! I hope your day is wonderful...thank you so much for stopping by! Catch you all later!

Family pic and a card

Well it has almost been a week since I posted last! Time is just getting away from me. I have an awesome card to share with you today...I cased this card off of Kittie at Kittie Krafts. Thanks so much for the inspiration Kittie! Is this beautiful or what? All of my paper is from Pizzazz Aplenty, the punch is a MS punch and the ribbon is from Hobby Lobby. The greenery is also a MS punch with a little "Holly Snow" on it...what you think? I also wanted to take a moment to share a pic of my babies from Thanksgiving! My oldest son is sitting with all 4 of my grandchildren on one couch...let me tell you this is a very very rare occasion to get all 4 kids in one pic at the same time! Of course grandma seen this as a photo op!

Meet from left to right...my oldest son, Michael, Collin James(1 1/2), Jacob Michael (3), Ava Sophia (2) and Nathan Michael (11)...what a blessing I have received from God! Well,  hope you had a wonderful day today and thank you for visiting and letting me share my joy with you!

Glitterbabe Sale on Friday and a NOEL card!

Hello and happy Wednesday! I wanted to share with you a sale going on at Glitterbabe's Art Shop! She has some really awesome xmas images out there...please stop by and take a look...you'll be sure to want them all!! I also have a card to share with you today...
This image was in a bag of stamps that was given to me and it does not have a notation on it as to what company put it out. I hate when that happens...oh well, I love how this turned out. I colored the image with copics, blinged it up with 2mm red rhinestones from Pizzazz Aplenty and cut it out and matted it with the Long Rectangle Nestie. Added a 1/2 inch strip of Scor Pal tape under the image and glittered it up! The punch used at the bottom of the card is a MS punch. All the card stock used on this card was purchased from Pizzazz Aplenty as well...I wish you could see the red card stock...it is sooooo shimmery...really adds to the card. Well I am off to finish up some cooking for tomorrow. I hope each and every one of you have a blessed Thanksgiving...I am thankful for each and every one of you...thank you for stopping in today!

Squigglefly Challenge

It's time for another Squigglefly Challenge! Our challenge this week is to create something with a Thank You/Give Thanks theme. I decided to go with the color scheme of Thanksgiving/fall but to use one of the Squigglefly images that screams Thanks! The image I used is Shy Bear Hugs. Colored the image with copic markers and stippled a little Momento Tangelo ink on the background. All the paper used for my card is from Papertrey Ink...and of course you can see I used nestabilities too! The Thank You sentiment is from Just Rite Stamps and the embossing folder I used was Cuttlebug Dots. Please be sure to stop over at the Squigglefly Challenge blog to see with my fellow DT members created...they are all so awesome. If you have not been to Squigglefly lately, be sure to check them out. There was a really big release this weekend and they introduced THREE new artists! One of the new artists is none other than fellow design team member Marlene Shaw! We are also welcoming Brian Lock and Suzanne Urban to Squigglefly. Well I am off to have a few medical tests today and then plan on getting some thorough housecleaning done! Wish me luck with that housecleaning! LOL. Hope you all have a great day...thanks for stopping in!

Simple Card

Back again! I hope your Sunday has been a great one. We worked out in the yard for a while today to put away the last of the summer things and raked some leaves. We have a huge oak tree in our back yard that covers the whole back yard like an umbrella...it is beautiful and provides us with tons of shade in the summer and blesses us with TONS of leaves in the fall! I am about to start dinner but wanted to get this card posted. Today's card is created using the largest of the Scalloped Circle Nestabilities....fold a piece of paper in half and place the nestie a little above the fold to get a card. :) I then cut out a circle nestie in blue and embossed it and for the top layer, I used a silver foil doily with the solid center cut out. My snowflake is something I picked up in the dollar bin at Michaels this summer....now I wish I had more of them! Well, got to run and get that chicken pot pie made for dinner...have a great rest of you Sunday and thanks for stopping by today!

Card Mistake...but turned out ok

Good morning! Well I am in my 3rd day of being off work and am loving every minute of it! My card stash is growing and I am a happy camper to be able to play to my hearts content! Sometimes though, playing gets a little frustrating for me when things don't quite turn out as I had planned...today's card is an example of that. I was attempting to make a small card with the largest of the Eyelet Squares Nestabilites...unfortunately, the card stock I used (Gina K Pure Luxury) was toooooooo thick to cut through! So, I ended up with a card that actually had a "lift up flap". I know no other way to describe it! LOL I can get myself into some crazy situations. However, rather than throw away that awesome paper, I decided to try to make the best of it. I stamped my image using some stamps from Close to My Heart that my friend Stef had given to me...matted it onto an Eyelet Square, bordered it in red with an Inverted Scalloped Square Nestie. I really like how it turned out....added some glitter to 1/2 inch Scor Pal tape and voila...a rather "different card. Here is the inside:
Nothing fancy at all but kind of different...I just didn't want to waste my cardstock! Hope you like...let me know what you think. I hope all of you have a blessed day today...I am hoping to see my grandbabies today after church so won't have much play time today. Thanks for stopping in to see me!

New Image from Glitterbabe!

Hello! I am sorry for the long absence...I didn't get back here as I had planned. Work has been very very challenging and hard for me over the last 8 months...I find it harder and harder to get creative time. HOWEVER, starting today, I am off work until November 29!!!! I am so pleased to be able to sit and play. Today I made 4 new cards...and the one I am showing you today is one of them. My image is from the one and only GLITTERBABE! It is one of her newest releases and I am LOVING it. The image is called Silhouette Flower. It is actually only one flower...I took it into photoshop and added another flower and some shadowing. Stef just has a way with flowers, and this one spoke to me immediately. Please stop by Glitterbabe's shop...I especially like that you get a colored image along with your black and white one!  I have a few other ideas for the image I used today too so you will be seeing me use it again. I used some of my new nestabilities with this card...specifically the Beaded Ovals...along with the regular and scalloped ovals. The black paper that I used on this card is to die for...it from Pizzazz Aplenty and it is as smooth as silk! The lace and the pearls are also a product from Pizzazz Aplenty...believe me, you do not know what you are missing out on if you don't pay Judy a visit...she has been adding new product weekly and she always has weekly freebies to add to your order if it meets the requirements. Well I am done for today, need to take a break from creating and spend some time with my hubby! Love you all for sticking with me...hope your day was beautiful!

PIZZAZZ a plenty Xmas Card

Good morning! I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend. Currently I am enjoying creating with some of my new purchases from Pizzazz a Plenty. I had been told that the Dark Red cardstock was amazing and thought that I might try it for Chrismas cards. OMG, I am here to tell you that this is the most amazing card stock I have ever used! It is sooooooo soft it almost feels like velvet or suede. I am a touchy/feely person...love texture! This pic really does not do justice to the color as it is a dark, deep red. I used Fancy Tags and Fancy Squares Nestabilities to cut my shapes. Added my bling...the irridescent reindeer and the shiny flat silver pearls are also from Pizzazz a Plenty. The ribbon is some from my stash...for once I had ribbon the color I needed when completing a card...and the snowflakes were created using a mini punch I had! Well, I hope you like my creation, I am pleased with its clean and simple design. Today, I have a baby shower to attend and will go to church this afternoon. Not real sure what the rest of my weekend will entail but hopefully it will include more time for creating! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and I thank you so much for stopping by!

Congratulations

HAPPY FRIDAY!!! Oh gosh you just don't have a clue how happy I am that this is the end of the week! I wanted to share a card with you that I created using a new image from Squigglefly. The congratulations circle sentiment is a new one to be released on Saturday by Jess Holland....perfect for so many occassions! And I just happened to need a baby boy shower card for this weekend so I colored the Congratulations in blue in Photoshop and added another Squigglefly image in the middle...Bouncing Buggy. I am having so much fun with the new nesties that I got in the mail this week! And the embossing folder I used on the background is Cuttlebugs Scrollwork...thought it framed the card perfectly. And of course I had an opportunity to use some of my Pizzazz Aplenty pale blue flatback pearls...just can't say enough about their products! I added a ribbon and voila...bing bang boom...done! I am very pleased with how this card turned out and hope my neice loves it too! Have a super awesome day today...thanks so much for stopping by and leaving some love!

Glitterbabes Challenge....Autumn Leaves

Gosh it is Thursday again ALREADY!! That week has flown by! And it is time for another Glitterbabe Challenge. Today we are being sponsored by Patti's Creations and we were challenged to use a Thanksgiving theme using our choice of images that Patti provided us. This image is so fun!! I colored it with copics, chalked the sky and the ground...also cut out a few extra leaves to cover the ground. I created the sentiment myself in Photoshop and cut out the image using one of my new nestabilities...fancy squares...matted this onto a burgandy scalloped rectangle also cut with nesties. The designer paper is from my stash! My bling on this card is the awesome topaz gems you see around the fancy square...these are from Pizzazz Aplenty...my recent purchase from Judy has allowed me to create with bling at such an affordable price...believe me, these really look awesome on my card in real life. If you have not been to Pizzazz Aplenty, you are really missing out on some awesome bling...and we all know that BLING is the main requirement on Glitterbabe's Challenge creations...pay Judy a visit and check out her bling...Please hop on over to the Challenge spot and look at what my fellow Glitterbugs created...we make a great team! And consider playing along with us this week...it is so easy to bling up a card! And Glitterbabe has a freebie area...check them out...if you haven't been to the shop in a while you are missing out on some spectacular images. After a rough day yesterday, I hope to have a good day today at work and I wish you the same with whatever you do today. Thank you so much for stopping by to see me!

Quilled Snowflake

Well, this is just a clean and simple card...not much to it really...but I am finding that I really love the clean and simple look and that I am liking using white card stock more and more...Just call me boring! LOL. This card shows my first attempt at quilling. I have always wanted to try it but never really would sit down and focus. Today I was not feeling all that good so I sat in my chair with the directions and took my time and played. It actually turned out pretty good then I took it one step too far and attempted to glitter the snowflake....not liking how "chunky" it looks, but lesson learned. You know how you feel when you took a great design one step too far???? Also I got to use a set of my new nestabilities...the lacey circle. Oh gosh I ordered 4 sets of new nesties...this is one. Then today at Hobby Lobby I got 3 other new sets in the clearance aisle...can you believe I was able to purchase Spellbinders Nestabilities for $8.99???!!! I grabbed 3 sets that I don't have. Well I hope your day was a great one...and that you have a Spooooooktacular Halloween!! Going back to sit in my chair and play with some more quilling! Thanks so much for stopping in to see me!

Glitterbabe's Challenge

OOOOHHHH I am so sorry for being late with my posting today for Glitterbabe's Challenge! I wanted to be sure to get this posted before the day end so...here is my creation! I used Glitterbabe's Dove image...how serene is that image? Stef did an awesome job drawing it! I colored the image with copics, cut it out with an oval nestability and the matching scallop. Used the cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder to add some texture and dimension. Added a corner punch from EK Sucess and ohhhh yeah...some more of that awesome bling that I purchased from Pizzazz Aplenty. You will be seeing lots more of that bling in cards to come! To finish off my card I stamped a Peace sentiment across the image and then scored around the card with Scor Pal....I am so happy with how this one turned out. Be sure to stop by the Challenge blog to see all my fellow DT members cards...they really turned out some neat cards...and we had a Guest Designer this week as well! Dawn made one awesome card using 2 of Stef's images! Beautiful job Dawn and thanks so much for playing along with us! Well that is all for me today, I hope your day was a blessed one...and thank you so much for stopping in to see me!

Squigglefly Autumn Blessings!

Hello again! Today I have a Squigglefly Challenge card to show you. The challenge for the DT was to use any SF image and use the colors of the season. I chose to use 2 Squigglefly images to create my card...I am excited about how it turned out. I used Laura Campbell's Swirley Pumpkin image as well as Laura's Floral Window. I colored the leaves in Photoshop and matted the printed image on cardstock I had in my stash. I punched the border on the card with an EK Sucess punch and added some green bling in the center of each of the flowers on the border. Hope you like my creation...I had fun finally getting back into creating again! Be sure to stop the Squigglefly Challenge blog to see what the other DT members created for this challenge...AND to join in the fun!
Thanks for stopping by today...and you know I will be by to see you a little later in the day!

Cuttlebug Perfect Perennials Folder

Hello! Happy Friday...if you are like me, I live for Friday! I know...that is really wishing my life away! Well today I have a very very simple card to show you. This card was created using the Cuttlebug Perfect Perennials folder. I just love the embossing that this folder creates! This is one of the newer cuttlebug folders that embosses and  cuts all in one swipe...although you may not be able to tell in the picture, there is a window cut out on the card...I put a gorgeous gold sticker in that window. I offset the embossed panel a little so I had an edge on the left hand side of my card...I used a Krylon Gold Leafing Pen to create the gold strip on that edge. I had picked up this pen way back in June and was delighted to be able to use it. I hope to use it more when I create my holiday cards. Well, I thank you again for stopping in to see me today. I will surely visit all of you as well! Have a blessed day today!

Autumn Blessings

Good morning!! And it is Glitterbabe Challenge day! Our challenge this week is sponsored by Jennifer at JLJ Designs. Please stop by and check out her shop and images! Thanks so much for sponsoring us Jennifer! The winner of this weeks challenge will get three...yes THREE digi images and a paper pack from her store! Be sure to include your BLING as that is the main requirement from Glitterbabe! We were also challenged to frame the image we used. I chose to use the pumpkin image....printed it in 3 sizes...colored with copic markers and layered it. For my frame, I created a ring of leaves. I used the Martha Stewart leaf punch to create my leaves and punched them out of glittered card stock for my bling. I stamped and embossed my sentiment on a Spellbinders tag and added a couple of buttons. I received an awesome assortment of fall colored buttons from my daughter in law...I just couldn't wait to use them. Thanks so much Melissa! Well that is all for me for today, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for hanging with me during my absence! I will be out to see all of you later on today to see what you have been up to! Have a blessed day!

Glitterbabe's Challenge

Hello everyone, I am sorry for the amount of time that has gone by without a post. I hope to be back more often...please bear with me! Well you are not here to hear my problems! Today, the Glitterbugs are sponsored by DeeDee's Digis! What cute images we were given to play with! I chose to use Hay, Pumpkin!. I colored the image with copic markers, added some bling to the yellow areas of the pumpkins using Sakura Stardust pens...although you really can't see the glitter. I used an acetate die cut by K&Company as an overlay on my card...lots of bling on that as well. I chose to hand write the sentiment on my card. Please stop by Glitterbabes Challenge blog and check out the designs created by the rest of the Glitterbugs AND play along! I thank you much for taking the time to stop in and see me...have a glorious day!

Glitterbabe's Challenge!

OH MY! It has been a week since I have been here! I am struggling to keep afloat here but this too shall pass! I almost forgot to post my card for the challenge today!! Well if you haven't already been to Glitterbabe's Challenge today, please stop by to see what the rest of the DT created for this week and play along with us! Glitterbabe has lots of freebies to use and we would sure love to have you play along! This week's challenge is to use the colors red, purple, and yellow. Well this was right up my alley for a special card I had wanted to try. My neighbor's mother is an AVID Red Hat Society lady and I had wanted to use one of Stef's lovely 3 hats to design a card for her...what an awesome opportunity! Doesn't that hat just scream HATTITUDE!!?? The sentiment was computer generated by myself. the embossed card was created using the Cuttlebug Perrenials Embossing Plus folder. Before removing the paper from the folder, I colored over the embossed areas using a copic marker. When I trimmed the embossed paper, I intentionally cut it a little short so I could have that red border on the left hand side of the card...which I scored a line through using the Scor Pal. I hope my neighbor's mother likes the card...and hope you do too! Well I am off for now...I have some packing to do for a trip. I will be in Phoenix AZ all next week and need to start getting things together. Thanks for stopping in to see me! I hope your day was a blessed one. I will be by to see each of you later on today or early tomorrow morn!

Glitterbabe Challenge Day

Hello all! Sorry for my absence over the last few days! Sometimes it just doesn't work out for me to get here everyday...looking forward to retirement so I have more time to play!! OHHHHH GEEZ!!! That is not for 5 years!!!! Oh well, something to look forward to! Today's card was created for Glitterbabe's Challenge. Our challenge was to use one of the images from Stef's freebies. I chose to use the Sparkly Flower...and did I make that baby sparkle! It was an experiment, and not sure I would do it again but what I did was take some Iridescent Medium (that Holly introduced to us some time ago) and mixed some butterscotch alcohol ink with it....and painted it onto the image. It really looks pretty in real life...there is a glare on the flower from taking the pic. I glued a sparkly element into the center of the flower. The sentiment was computer generated by myself. And the embossing....OMG I am loving this embossing folder...you all know how ADDICTED to embossing I am. This is one of 4 folders that come in the Heritage embossing folder set from Cuttlebug. Then I matted the embossed layer onto some gold cardstock and placed it on my card. Pretty huh? I like it and Stef's image was perfect for this card! Well what you waiting for???? Get on over to the Challenge blog to see what the rest of the DT ladies created and then go grab a freebie and play along with us!!! Can't wait to see what you come up with! Thanks for stopping in today! I will be sure to do some visiting myself today as well.

Squigglfly Challenge

Hello again!! Well we are off to another wonderful week! And to start this week off, I have a card for you that I created for the Squigglefly Challenge this week. Our taks this week was to create a masculine card. Ohhhhh I struggole so hard with masculine cards...that definitely is my weakness. BUT...I did need to make a birthday card for my oldest son so what better reason to create than that? I used the Shy Bear Billboard image as I thought that image gave me lots of white space to put my sentiment! I created the sentiment in Photoshop. After coloring the image with my copics and clipping the corners with an MS punch, I matted the image on Papertrey paper...I love their paper. Well off to work....hope your day is a beautiful one! Thanks so much for stopping in and I will catch you all a little later!

Crystal Ball

Good morning to all of you! I am so glad the weekend is here. Not sure what is in store for me this weekend but at least I know it is not going to work! Thank goodness! Well today's card was created using a new image just released at Squigglefly called Crystalball. I had a grand idea for this card but not so sure it was as grand as I had hoped. I thought I would make a shaker card using a SU "cup" designed for shaker cards...it didn't turn out too bad, I just think the cup needed to be bigger for my image. I filled the cup with Diamond Dust. The embossing folder I used is a Cuttlebug folder called Gracie's Frame. I added some flowers that I had purchased at the Dollar Store in the lower right hand corner and a few pieces of bling in each corner of the embossed frame. The background paper was from SU both the patterned and the solid. I like how it turned out but just wish my shaker cup was a little bigger. Anyhooooo...that is it for today...I will be out to see each of you today a little later. Thanks thanks thanks for stopping in to see me AND leaving some love! May you have a blessed day!

Squigglefy Sneak Peak!

Yipee!!!! It is Friday!!! Although my day is going to be a long one as I have to work late tonight, I am looking forward to the weekend! I have a card for you today that was created using a new image from Roann Mathias at Squigglefly...another of her beautiful caligraphy designs. What beautiful work she does. I framed the image using the Cuttlebug Brocade Window Emboss Plus folder. To add to the card, I made some paper roses in "fallish" colors. These roses were fun to make and not hard at all. If you would like to try your hand at these, I got the file from Penny Duncan...she even has a video explaining how to put them together. And even if you don't have a cutting machine, you can cut the pattern out with scissors and assemble them. I inked up the edges a little to cover up the white core of the paper after cutting and also sprayed some Shimmer Spritz by Tsukineko. I am very happy with how this card turned out and thank both Roann and Penny for the files that I used to create this beauty. Well I am off to work and will be back around noon today with a posting of the winner of my blog candy...so check back a little later! I want to thank each of you for stopping in and leaving comments! Have an awesome day!

Time for Glitterbabe's Challenge

Good morning ladies! It is Thursday today and time for Glitterbabe's Challenge! This week our theme is Asian...Glitterbabe gave us a couple of images to work with and the only other requirment was bling, sparkle! I chose to work with the Panda image...she is one cute Panda...and she is holding a stalk of bamboo...so I thought what better sentiment for my card than Good Luck. The sentiment is out of a SU stamp set . My background paper was embossed using a cuttlebug folder...Stef embossed it for me and sent it home with me last weekend. Well the only thing left was to add some bling...and I struggled with that!!! WHAT!!!???? Don't know where to add bling...I can just hear Glitterbabe! So I took my clear Sakura GellyRoll Stardust pen and outlined the embossed area. Came out rather cute! Be sure to get on over to the challenge blog and play along with us this week! We had a ton of awesome entries for the last challenge...glad I am not the one who has to pick a winner cause you would all be getting prizes! Well, get going...I am going to start my day. Thank you for stopping in to see me today.

Vellum Thanks

Good morning!Wow what a nice crisp morning I woke up to!!! 56 degrees!!! It actually feels good for a change but not sure I am ready for this colder weather yet. I do love the change of seasons but just not quite ready for it to be this cool! Not complaining though! Well today's post is going to be short...got to run. I played with creating a flower out of cut out folded circles...I love how it turned out and it was super duper easy to do. Added a vellum background that I had embossed with a couple of flowers in the corners...the sentiment was stamped on the vellum with white ink. Kind of a fun card! Don't forget to comment in the candy area so you can have a chance to win some goodies! Thanks to all who have left me love already...I am so appreciative of you all! Have an awesome day today and look for me at your door a little later!

Fred She Said

Good morning! Well, todays card is featuring the one and only Rosie...a precolored design by Fred She Said...Now isn't that one cute pup??? And if only I could color like that!!! Oh well some day when I grow up maybe...or in my next life! Honestly that is one cute digi. The front of my card is an embossing folder from the Cuttlebug Heritage set...it is a set of 4 folders... 2 5x7 folders and 2 A2 size folders. The center is not open in this embossing folder...I put an oval nestability in the middle to cut the opening in the center. The tag is a Nestability too...Fancy Tags. I guess I could have dressed this up a little bit more now that I look at it but I thought maybe I would mess it up if I went too far. You know how that goes...oh I could do this and this and THAT messed it up!!! Thought I would leave well enough alone. Throughout the rest of the week you may see a few more of those folders from this set...they were all awesome. If you can't tell, I am an embossing addict...and if there is treatment for that....I DONT WANT IT! Thanks for all the awesome comments on yesterday's card...I actually got a request from a lady at work yesterday to create a wedding card for her using that design...although she would like the wedding couple's name in the middle rather than the "together forever" so when I get that done I will post it too. What I have discovered BY MISTAKE with the Cuttlebug Embossing Plus folders, is that there is a back flap on the folder that will allow you to lift it up and apply color to the embossed area BEFORE you remove it from the embossing folder. That is way cool. Ok...I have had one cup of coffee too many as I am blabbing away. Thanks so much for stopping in to see me today and I will be out to see all of you that leave me love later on this evening! Have a blessed day!

Good Monday Morn! Well I had a very creative, crafty weekend! Oh my gosh I didn't see any of my grandbabies this weekend! I am starting to go through withdrawls...but I did keep myself busy in my craft room. Today's card is really very blah as far as color goes but I think it turned out pretty good. This was created using one of the Cuttlebug embossing plus folders. OMG those things are so darn nice...but pricey. I think this one is called Brocade Window. The sentiment is an embossing folder that is in the Wedding #2 set from Sizzix. Added a few pearls and voila! I have some other ideas for this folder and will be making a few more wedding cards with it that is for sure. And I want to thank each and every one of you who took the time to comment on blog over the last few days! And I am almost up to 50 followers!!! WHOOOO HOOO! Later on this week I will be posting blog candy for my 1st anniversary of blogging! Be sure to check back! Thanks so much for blessing my day with your presence! I hope yours is wonderful and I will be out to see each of you later!

Friendship

Hello ladies! Well today's card is all about Friendship...and that is what we are all developing as we share our designs, ideas and ourselves with each other. I am so glad and blessed to have each and everyone of you in that ring of friendship! This card goes out to each of you with all my heart! The card base design and the sentiment design were both from Penny Duncan. This lady is one phenominal designer...God has blessed her with such a talent and she shares that talent unconditionally with all of us! Penny you are one dear friend! The card base I used was Penny's Oval Inner Scallop Card with Scallop Bottom...I am not certain this was the intended design...I had to size the card to paper that I had..but I do like how it turned out. The sentiment was actually created using a couple of Penny's digital designs that I took into Photshop and played with a little. Below is a close up of the sentiment:
I really enjoyed playing with Penny's files and love how my card came out. And speaking of friendship...yesterday I was one happy camper as I got to spend most of my day with Glitterbabe! We had an awesome time together...and do you see that my card is no longer laying flat on my table when i take pics??? That is because Glitterbabe gave me that holder in the pic! How awesome is that...I am so pleased to finally have one of these to hold my cards for pictures. Well, I will close for today...I am back to playing! I hope your day is wonderful no matter what you are doing. Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving me some love.

New Glitterbabe Challenge

Happy Thursday! And welcome to a new Glitterbabe Challenge! Our challenge today is sponsored by Robyn's Fetish...we were given a choice of 4 images to use and the card must contain 2 flowers. Of course I fell in love with the bird image...colored it with copics, added a computer generated sentiment and stippled a little light blue on the background. I used sticker flowers...and yeah there are two flowers on the card...and I also added a sticker butterfly. I used a Martha Stewart punch to punch around the image and mounted it on some SU paper that I had leftover from another project. I am a little disappointed in my card this week...but I will do better next week...some days I am just off! Well I am off to work...thanks so much for coming by to see me...have a fantabulous day.

I am the Resurrection

Oh my goodness...I just had to share this card with you...it is now midnight, I have worked on this for about 2 hours! I am sooooooooo slow in making cards! I absolutely LOVE this sentiment from Squigglefly! This is designed by Roanne Mathias and is simply called Resurrection. Immediately when I got this in my hands, I knew what I wanted to do with it. The shape that I cut out on my cricut is one of Penny Duncan's Shaplies called Open Book...I followed Penny's awesome directions on how to cut AND emboss my shape and then created two more of the same in a little larger size. Tried to get the look of a book....in my mind...the Bible. And the cross is one of Penny's svg files as well. If you have not been out to visit Penny, please do...she is one talented lady and she LOVES flowers! You have got to see those flowers! After stippling my creation with Tim Holtz antique linen distress ink, I matted my "book" on a sheet of white paper that had been embossed with the Linen embossing folder from Paper Trey Inc...I am not sure it shows up well in the pic but in real life it is pretty. Take a hop on over to Squigglefly today and look around...there are so many awesome new releases, I just want them all! Well I hope my card for today inspires you to create. Have a Blessed day and thanks so much for stopping in to see me. I will be by to see each of you later on today.

Squigglefly Challenge

Hello! Well it is time for another Squigglefly Challenge! And our challenge today is to use HOT colors!!! Orange, yellow and red! Yep, hot hot! Sizzle HOT! Kind of like how our weather has been! Although today we have had a nice break in that heat. Well back to my card...I used the Words digi image from Squigglefly as well as the Fancy Buttons digi image. I love how this one turned out...the words paper uses a lot of "friends" type of words so this would be a great friend card! Hop on over to the Squigglefly Challenge Blog to check out what the other DT ladies created...some really HOT cards. And join in the fun!!! Well, back to work!! Have an awesome day today.

Thomas the Train Birthday Card

Hello! I hope everyone is having a great Sunday. Today we are off to celebrate our 3 year old grandson's birthday. He is a big Thomas fan right now and I really wanted to make him a Thomas card. I was lucky enough to find an svg file created by Denise...What a great file she has for this card. I struggled with Sure Cuts a Lot trying to get it to the file to the size I wanted but I finally was able to come up with something I was happy with. The only thing I added extra to the card was the red circle...I wanted to give the card the illusion of the tank so I cut a red circle with the circle Nestabilities and glued it behind the face of the card. I love how it turned out and hope my little man will think it is cool. Well, I have lots of visiting to catch up on since I have not done much at all from the time I got sick. Feeling tons better! I hope each and every one of you have a blessed Sunday and are enjoying the day whatever you are doing. Thanks for stopping by...I plan to be by to see you all after the birthday bash!

Glitterbabe Challenge

Hello Ladies! I am so sorry for not being here for such a long time. I believe I am finally over my health issue for now! Tomorrow is my last day of taking meds for 10 days and I am finally feeling a little more like me. Thanks for being patient with me and coming back to see me! Enough about me...how bout that challenge at Glitterbabe's this week? We were given a sketch to follow and are being sponsored by Stampin Dragon Designs! Isn't this the cutest image? The sentiment was computer generated by me. All the cardstock used was glittery card stock from my paper stash...the image was colored with copics and the little tree was cut and embossed using a cuttlebug die. I added some stickles to the tree and to the little guy's hat and wings just for a little more bling! A big thanks to our sponsor! Well be sure to go to the challenge blog to see what the rest of the DT ladies created. They are all awesome card makers! Thanks for stopping in to see me, I hope to be here more frequently now that I am feeling better! Have an awesome day!

Glitterbabe Challenge

Happy Thursday!!! And it is Glitterbabe Challenge day!!! We have had so much fun creating for Glitterbabe so far and are so excited to see all of you play along! Wow and you have all made some really awesome cards...some of those cards should have been accompanied with a warning....BLING CENTRAL...SUNGLASSES REQUIRED!!! Our challenge this week was a Back to School theme. Gliterbabe gave us some really cool images to work with. I used the apple and crayon. Colored both with copics and pop dotted them onto my card. This card was created with a big BLUNDER! I created my chalk board with one of the Nestie frames...colored both pieces with copics and wrote the alphabet on the outside frame....and school days on the "chalkboard". Well I went to run the pieces through the Xyron and put the darn things in the WRONG way! All the glue ended on the TOP of my pieces. GEEESH...well, the mistake solved my dilema of not knowing for sure where to put my bling...yep...you got it...right on that sticky chalkboard. Be sure to go to the challenge blog to check out the other DT members cards...they really outdid themselves again. Come play along with us this week, we would be glad to have you. Thanks for stopping in, have a great day, and hope to see you tomorrow!
