Hello and happy Thursday! Today is the second challenge going on over at Glitterbabe's Challenge Blog! Wow, we had lots of very, very nice cards entered into the challenge, full of sparkle ...and the winner is going to be announced today so be sure to head on over and see if it was you!!! This weeks challenge is a color challenge...using orange, pink and turquoise....and I used Glitterbabe's Flamingo image. I matted my card first with orange and turquoise (shhhhh I know it is really light blue but it was the closest i could come!) glitter paper...trying to portray the sky at sunset and the water. The image is printed out on acetate and colored the back of the image with copics....I am not really sure I like this technique but was intrigued enough to try it...for sure there is plenty of sparkle on this card...one of Glitterbabe's biggest requirement! Be sure to stop on over to see us at the challenge blog...the rest of the DT has some really awesome cards as well to show off! I hope you have a blessed day today and thanks for stopping in to see me!

Just for You Vellum Card
Hello again! Whew is it warm where you are? Really hot and humid here but hey...it IS July and I live in the middle of corn country so what should I expect huh? Well I hope my card is refreshing at least! Today's card is done in vellum...heavy weight (48lbs). My image is from the Fancy Flowers collection at Squigglefly. I printed it on the vellum and then flipped over the vellum to make my design. The flower itself is not colored at all...it is the pink bacground paper showing through...the leaves I colored with copics. My corners were cut with the SU corner punch. I really am liking working with vellum...it gives me a feel of elegance...hope you like! Thanks bunches for stopping in today...hope to see you again soon. I am off to see each of you later on today!

Wind Beneath My Wings
Today is our first challenge as part of the new Squigglefly DT. Todays challenge at the Squigglefly Challenge Blog is such an awesome one!! We were able to do whatever Squigglefly image we wanted to! Be sure to come check out all the awesome cards that the other DT members created for this challenge and play along with us! There are always prizes! I chose the butterfly from the Fancy Flowers collection. Colored it with copics and added some glitter using a Sakura Stardust pen. The sentiment was computer generated in Photoshop...thought it was perfect to go with the image.
Of course you can tell I used my circle nesties to mat my image..and i used a corner punch to create some interest in the corners. I love how it turned out. Hope you are having an awesome day...we will be spending some time with our kids tonight. I am off to see each of you...have to catch up on what is going on in your world! Thanks for stopping in to see me today!

Hello
Hello everyone! Well I am just not a good blogger lately! I am going to try to do better...being a full time employee and juggling life has become a job in itself for me lately! Work is really intense...putting in 10-12 hours daily is starting to wear on me. But I do have a card to share with you today. This card was created using a vellum technique I saw at the stamp convention I went to a few weeks ago. I really like how it turned out although I do need to perfect the technique...this was my first try. I used a heavy weight vellum (48lbs) and a brass stencil to make my image by running it through the cuttlebug. I then colored my image from the back of the vellum, added a little glitter to the front. I edged all the corners of the vellum and all the mats with a Fiskars corner punch and embosser...then used a Fiskars border punch for the edge of the card. Geez it is not a standard size so I will have to make an envelope for it but I will learn as I go. I have had some awesome weekends with the grandkids over the last 2 weekends...just sharing a couple of pics with you:
This is my family...my two sons and their wives and children! Look at all those little ones! Now do you know why I don't have time to play? I spend as much time as I can with the little ones cause I know some day they are not going to want to spend time at Grandma's! Once they get older, they have bigger and better things to do! This is my pride and joy!
Our little princess Ava Sophia turned 2 this last week and we had her birthday party on Sunday...I just had to share this pic of her stooping at my pond and spitting into it!!! She was feeding the fish she told me.
Ok...so now you see what I have really been up to! I promise to be out to visit each of you and to get back into a routine with posting! I hope I haven't bored you! Thanks for letting me share my first love with you...my family!

FREEBIE for you
Hello, surprised to see me TWO times today? Well as I was getting my cards designed for my two sons for Father's Day, I created a digi sentiment that I am going to share with you. I hope that you can use it...if not for this year, maybe keep it in your stash for next year! I am going to start creating more digi sentiments as time goes on...and I will post my cards that I used this sentiment on tomorrow. Have an awesome day!
