Mother's Day Card

Hello! I know it has been a few days since I have posted...I have been very busy outside the last few days and have also been contemplating my card designing techniques. I have not really been using my cricut at all lately...It is a very expensive machine to just be sitting collecting dust! Then I happened on a web site that totally got my creative juices flowing...Penny Duncan Creations. Penny is a very, very giving and kind person. I struggled with the folding of this cut and she very quickly answered my call for help! If you have a die cutting machine and can cut SVG files, please go pay Penny a visit...her files are awesome and FREE. What a gift Penny has! On my card, I actually used 2 of Penny's files...the cutting line file with all the folds and also the swirly border on the top and bottom of the card. I used one of my EK Success punches to create small scalloped edge on the border and then also matted that green border with a white border that had also been edged with that same punch. I added some pearls around the design and the sentiment in the middle of the card is one of my new sentiment creations that will be in the Stamping Boutique store soon...yes, I have been creating a few new sentiments. Hopefully tomorrow I will post a preview of the new ones in the store. Well, I hope you enjoyed my creation today....AND because I really do not have anyone to give this card to as my Mother passed away a few years ago, I will send this card to the first person that sends me an email requesting it! So if you could use this card, please let me know...I will send an envie with it! Thanks for stopping in to see me and I hope you have a blessed day today. I promise to get back into the swing of things and be by to visit you today!

Have a MOOtiful Day

Hello all! I wanted to share with you my card for the one stop blog hop that TSB had on Wednesday. This card was not at all favored on the hop...I just don't have the knack sometimes. I like to be different in my designing and that most times is not what others like. That's ok....I had fun creating this card. The image I used from the Stamping Boutique was AJ the Farmer...he is a doll isn't he? The cow in the background was part of a free coloring page that I had found on the internet that I edited in photoshop. The clouds and sun were created in photoshop using brushes. I colored the image with my copics and the sentiment was computer generated. I added a little glitter pen to the sun to make it sparkle. The card really is rather cute in real life! I have been very busy outside this week trying to get the yard back in shape after winter...got my pond opened and all my grasses trimmed. Last night I mulched 4 flower beds...have more to do but today it is raining so that may have to wait for a better day! Well hope your week has been the best ever...and that the weekend coming up is also wonderful! I will be out to see what you have been up to a little later in the day today. Thanks so much to my followers for visiting me daily...I appreciate each and every one of you!

Thank You

Hello my friends! I hope you had a great day today...I am sorry for the late post....I am just happy to be able to post. I went back to work today after having a few days off...feeling less overwhelmed. I believe I will be creating some new sentiments for the Boutique this week...it feels good to create again. So onto the card for today....The designer paper I used on this card is some of the stash I got from Stef...it is so soft and pretty. The brown paper is bazzill...the punched border is a Fiskar's punch that Stef put in my stash as well...I am so blessed to have gotten it. Thanks so much my dear friend. The circles both plain and scalloped were cut using my Nestabilities...and I pop dotted them to add dimension. The satin ribbon was from my stash and the sentiment is from JustRite stamp set. Hoping you like! Thanks so much for stopping by to see me today....I will be off to see what you have been up to as well. Take care and have a blessed day!

Have a Toadally Awesome Day

Hello ladies! I know I have not been around much lately...just really having a tough time...yesterday was the first time I have even attempted creating since the loss of Riley...I am going to get back slow but sure. I miss visiting all of you and will be by to see most of you this weekend I hope. I want to thank each of you for your thoughts, prayers and comments over the past couple of weeks. My friend is back home now and is recovering well from her surgery only to find that she needs another biopsy for a new spot that has popped up...I am totally devasted for her...but she has a good positive outlook and I know she will face this head on with all the grace and courage she can. Please keep her in your prayers.
Today's card was created using one of Glitterbabe's images...please stop by and visit her etsy shop to see all she has been creating! Speaking of Glitterbabe, I was lucky enough to be able to spend a day with her on Thursday...hubby went with and him and Clyde yakked their heads off. Stef and I went through tons of paper that she had to share...and she sent me home with a mountain of goodies! I really needed the paper...and I used it on today's card...all the paper in this card creation were scraps from Stef! Thanks to my dear friend. The ribbon used on my card was some I had picked up from Big Lots and really could not find a use for it till now...the sentiment was computer generated...the punched borders are from an EK Success punch and of cours I used my Nestabilities around the sentiment. Not sure if you can really tell from the photo but I sprayed the whole card with Tsukineko Sheer Shimmer Sparkle spray...it really dressed up the appearance of the card. Oh....and I colored my image using Copics.
I will try to be back here more often now...I also want to start getting back to my sentiment creations...I miss doing that and really need to get some new ones in the Stamping Boutique Store! I hope you all have a great day and thanks so much for your support and love!

Hello

Hello!!! I have no card for you today but wanted to drop in for a moment to let you know what is up! I have had a rough week or so...last Saturday our family pet of 15 years passed away...Riley our cat. We have been so devastated it is just hard for me to get back into the swing of things. When I crafted, Riley was always in the craft room with me...climbing on my desk....getting in my lap...getting in my way! So being in there without him now just is hard. Today I am going to take a very good friend of mine to Peoria for surgery on 2 brain tumors...she is a 2 1/2 year cancer survivor and now she is facing this. I feel so bad for her. Please keep her in your prayers today. Well, I hope all of you are doing well and I apologize for not visiting you lately. I hope to get some time today to visit each of you while I am in the waiting room...the surgery is at least 4 hours so I will take my laptop with to pass the time. I will be back later this week with some cards I hope! Thanks for stopping in to see me today! Bless each of you!

HUGS,
Vicki
