Hello to everyone! I sure hope your are all having a wonderful start to your weekend! I spent this morning with 3 of my grandchildren while Mom and Dad put some finishing touches on a new pool. Ohhh gosh I swear the little ones grow overnight! We just saw them Easter Sunday and I know the new baby has changed in just a week! Well I did get to finish up a card that I had started so I thought I would share it with you today. The nested frames and sentiment are from JustRite...Victorian Nested Frames and Occassions set. I don't have the special nestabilities to go with the set so I had to cut my nested shapes out by hand. The white lacy border is one of the MS punch around the page punch sets and the pink background layer I had embossed with Cuttlebug Swiss Dots. Then, I went to work on framing that all out with some flowers! The leaves in this creation were an SVG cut file from my friend Penny Duncan..,and the "ferny" type leaves are the MS punch I have used lately for my flowers. The flowers I punched with a Marvy punch...touched them with a little Momento Angel Pink ink and shaped them with my stylus. I added some "bling" in the middle of each flower and then added the gorgeous pink butterfly which I had purchased from Pizzazz Aplenty! Well I am off to church and then maybe will get some much needed visiting in a little later tonight. I want to take a moment to thank each of you who have so kindly left me some lovely comments over the last few days...it means a lot to me and I love reading your feedback. Have a great night!

Happy New Year/Happy Birthday
Happy New Year to everyone! I hope that your holidays were blessed with joy, love and family! Our holiday was wonderful...spent lots of time with our kids and grandkids. We are so blessed to have them all. Now the holidays are over, we are all trying to get back into the "normal" routine...but we had to get together for one more party! My youngest son's birthday was yesterday and we celebrated with a breakfast get together. The card you see above was created just for him! I inked up the Bird Call cuttlebug folder, cut out a section of it with the Inverted Squares Nestabilities and matted it...the die cut across the center of the card was in my Christmas package from my sweet friend Stef...it is one of the Die-namics dies from My Favorite Things. And I have to tell you, the Happy Birthday was created with my Cri-Kits glitter pens and cut out on my cricut using the Make The Cuts software. I had purchased it some time ago, have not really had the time to play with it...HOWEVER, a very good friend and fellow blogger, Penny Duncan, has sparked the fire in me to begin using it! Penny has been so instrumental in this creation! She has some wonderful videos on her web site for us MTC users...I have had those darn gel pens for months and NEVER used them...if it had not been for Penny's tut, they would still be in the box! Thanks Penny so much! Well, our agency is closed today so no work for me...but I AM going to be playing so I hope to be able to be here more often now. Thanks for stopping in and I hope you come by again soon! Have a great day!

Squigglefy Sneak Peak!
Yipee!!!! It is Friday!!! Although my day is going to be a long one as I have to work late tonight, I am looking forward to the weekend! I have a card for you today that was created using a new image from Roann Mathias at Squigglefly...another of her beautiful caligraphy designs. What beautiful work she does. I framed the image using the Cuttlebug Brocade Window Emboss Plus folder. To add to the card, I made some paper roses in "fallish" colors. These roses were fun to make and not hard at all. If you would like to try your hand at these, I got the file from Penny Duncan...she even has a video explaining how to put them together. And even if you don't have a cutting machine, you can cut the pattern out with scissors and assemble them. I inked up the edges a little to cover up the white core of the paper after cutting and also sprayed some Shimmer Spritz by Tsukineko. I am very happy with how this card turned out and thank both Roann and Penny for the files that I used to create this beauty. Well I am off to work and will be back around noon today with a posting of the winner of my blog candy...so check back a little later! I want to thank each of you for stopping in and leaving comments! Have an awesome day!

Friendship
Hello ladies! Well today's card is all about Friendship...and that is what we are all developing as we share our designs, ideas and ourselves with each other. I am so glad and blessed to have each and everyone of you in that ring of friendship! This card goes out to each of you with all my heart! The card base design and the sentiment design were both from Penny Duncan. This lady is one phenominal designer...God has blessed her with such a talent and she shares that talent unconditionally with all of us! Penny you are one dear friend! The card base I used was Penny's Oval Inner Scallop Card with Scallop Bottom...I am not certain this was the intended design...I had to size the card to paper that I had..but I do like how it turned out. The sentiment was actually created using a couple of Penny's digital designs that I took into Photshop and played with a little. Below is a close up of the sentiment:
I really enjoyed playing with Penny's files and love how my card came out. And speaking of friendship...yesterday I was one happy camper as I got to spend most of my day with Glitterbabe! We had an awesome time together...and do you see that my card is no longer laying flat on my table when i take pics??? That is because Glitterbabe gave me that holder in the pic! How awesome is that...I am so pleased to finally have one of these to hold my cards for pictures. Well, I will close for today...I am back to playing! I hope your day is wonderful no matter what you are doing. Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving me some love.

I am the Resurrection
Oh my goodness...I just had to share this card with you...it is now midnight, I have worked on this for about 2 hours! I am sooooooooo slow in making cards! I absolutely LOVE this sentiment from Squigglefly! This is designed by Roanne Mathias and is simply called Resurrection. Immediately when I got this in my hands, I knew what I wanted to do with it. The shape that I cut out on my cricut is one of Penny Duncan's Shaplies called Open Book...I followed Penny's awesome directions on how to cut AND emboss my shape and then created two more of the same in a little larger size. Tried to get the look of a book....in my mind...the Bible. And the cross is one of Penny's svg files as well. If you have not been out to visit Penny, please do...she is one talented lady and she LOVES flowers! You have got to see those flowers! After stippling my creation with Tim Holtz antique linen distress ink, I matted my "book" on a sheet of white paper that had been embossed with the Linen embossing folder from Paper Trey Inc...I am not sure it shows up well in the pic but in real life it is pretty. Take a hop on over to Squigglefly today and look around...there are so many awesome new releases, I just want them all! Well I hope my card for today inspires you to create. Have a Blessed day and thanks so much for stopping in to see me. I will be by to see each of you later on today.

Another Mother's Day Card
Good morning! I hope I don't bore you with my cricut designs...I am really having fun creating the last 2 nights! My poor hubby...he is retired so he is alone all day and then when I come home, the last 2 nights I have been in my craft room!! Alone some more! But he knows where I am at and comes to visit me regularly! Today's card is another creation using a couple of Penny's files...If you have SCAL and a die cutting machine, pay her a visit! I used a cut line file and a Lacy Butterfly file. The solid card stock is from SU, the pattened card stock is Itsy Bitsy from K&Company. And the sentiment is one I designed. I did spray the butterfly with Sparkle Shimmer Spray but it is hard to tell in the picture...I also took some Glittered Pearls and lined the butterfly's body with them. Used Nesties to cut out my sentiment and lightly inked it with Momento ink. This card is going to be for one of my dear DIL for Mother's Day...geez, hope they aren't looking! I will need another one so I may do one more!
Just a reminder...the card from yesterday has not been spoken for and is still available if you have a use for it! Just drop me a line at vldiaz@verizon.net and I will be glad to send it on to you. It needs a good home!
Well, thanks from the bottom of my heart for coming to visit me! I hope you enjoyed your stay and are inspired by my creations. I will be off to do some visiting with you later on today! I hope you have a wonderful day today.
HUGS!

Mother's Day Card
Hello! I know it has been a few days since I have posted...I have been very busy outside the last few days and have also been contemplating my card designing techniques. I have not really been using my cricut at all lately...It is a very expensive machine to just be sitting collecting dust! Then I happened on a web site that totally got my creative juices flowing...Penny Duncan Creations. Penny is a very, very giving and kind person. I struggled with the folding of this cut and she very quickly answered my call for help! If you have a die cutting machine and can cut SVG files, please go pay Penny a visit...her files are awesome and FREE. What a gift Penny has! On my card, I actually used 2 of Penny's files...the cutting line file with all the folds and also the swirly border on the top and bottom of the card. I used one of my EK Success punches to create small scalloped edge on the border and then also matted that green border with a white border that had also been edged with that same punch. I added some pearls around the design and the sentiment in the middle of the card is one of my new sentiment creations that will be in the Stamping Boutique store soon...yes, I have been creating a few new sentiments. Hopefully tomorrow I will post a preview of the new ones in the store. Well, I hope you enjoyed my creation today....AND because I really do not have anyone to give this card to as my Mother passed away a few years ago, I will send this card to the first person that sends me an email requesting it! So if you could use this card, please let me know...I will send an envie with it! Thanks for stopping in to see me and I hope you have a blessed day today. I promise to get back into the swing of things and be by to visit you today!
