Hello! I hope the weekend is going well for everyone. Today's card I had tried my hand at using Prisma Color pencils and odorless mineral spirits. Many stampers use Gamsol for this technique but I have not been able to find that in our area. I have a way to go on learning how to use shading but I am fairly happy with how this card turned out. Thanks for stopping by today.
Paper: assorted card stock on hand
Stamp: SU for greeting and Martha Stewart for the bird stamp
Tools: Prisma Color Pencils, Nestabilities, Eyelets

Grandson Birthday Card

What better way to start than with a Birthday Card. My oldest Grandson is 10 this month. I struggled with "too childish" themes and "too adult" themes. So I hope I came up with something in between.

Paper: Card Base is Bazzill Bling Black
Assortment pack of paper from Paper Studio
Tools: Nestabilities Large Circle and Large Scalloped Circle
Stamps: Happy Birthday from Joann Fabrics (heat embossed)

Welcome to my Blog!

Hello all! This is my first venture into the blog world. I plan to use this space to share my creations. I was introduced to digital scrapbooking about a year and a half ago by my daughter in law. I remember at the time I told her digital was the way to go because I didn't want to mess with scissors and glue. Well that worked out for a while and then she purchased a Cricut...originally we were going to share the machine and share the cost of the cartridges. I soon discovered that there was no way I could be parted from that bug so I had to purchase one of my own. The cricut led to the Cuttlebug...then to stamping, embossing, etc. I have started to dabble a little with Sure Cuts a Lot too but have not designed anything yet...just learning! Thanks for stopping by and come back frequently as I will most likely add cards frequently.

Have a good day!
