Glitterbabe Challenge Day

Hello all! Sorry for my absence over the last few days! Sometimes it just doesn't work out for me to get here everyday...looking forward to retirement so I have more time to play!! OHHHHH GEEZ!!! That is not for 5 years!!!! Oh well, something to look forward to! Today's card was created for Glitterbabe's Challenge. Our challenge was to use one of the images from Stef's freebies. I chose to use the Sparkly Flower...and did I make that baby sparkle! It was an experiment, and not sure I would do it again but what I did was take some Iridescent Medium (that Holly introduced to us some time ago) and mixed some butterscotch alcohol ink with it....and painted it onto the image. It really looks pretty in real life...there is a glare on the flower from taking the pic. I glued a sparkly element into the center of the flower. The sentiment was computer generated by myself. And the embossing....OMG I am loving this embossing folder...you all know how ADDICTED to embossing I am. This is one of 4 folders that come in the Heritage embossing folder set from Cuttlebug. Then I matted the embossed layer onto some gold cardstock and placed it on my card. Pretty huh? I like it and Stef's image was perfect for this card! Well what you waiting for???? Get on over to the Challenge blog to see what the rest of the DT ladies created and then go grab a freebie and play along with us!!! Can't wait to see what you come up with! Thanks for stopping in today! I will be sure to do some visiting myself today as well.

Squigglfly Challenge

Hello again!! Well we are off to another wonderful week! And to start this week off, I have a card for you that I created for the Squigglefly Challenge this week. Our taks this week was to create a masculine card. Ohhhhh I struggole so hard with masculine cards...that definitely is my weakness. BUT...I did need to make a birthday card for my oldest son so what better reason to create than that? I used the Shy Bear Billboard image as I thought that image gave me lots of white space to put my sentiment! I created the sentiment in Photoshop. After coloring the image with my copics and clipping the corners with an MS punch, I matted the image on Papertrey paper...I love their paper. Well off to work....hope your day is a beautiful one! Thanks so much for stopping in and I will catch you all a little later!

HUGS!
