Celebrate

Well last night was digi day at The Stamping Boutique! If you were unable to join us, please be sure to hop on over to the Boutique and check out Tracey's new images! They are awesome as always! Above is a card I created with one of them....what a cute clown huh? I colored this one digitally. All the paper on this card was from DCWV Nursery Boy paper stack. The sentiment is from JustRite stamps. Lots of glitter going on here but you can't see it very well. Today is a busy day for me...babysat last night and today we will babysit again and go to church. Hope to get busy creating today again as well...but most of all I need to visit all of you! I hope you have a great weekend and thanks for stopping in to see me!

Sympathy Card

Well here we are at the end of another week! I am so glad to see Friday every week but this week especially! It has been a long work week for me. Before I go into the deets on my card for today, I just wanted to remind everyone that tonight is Digi Day at the Stamping Boutique from 7-9 CST. We will be debuting a new line of images and of course there will be prizes! So be sure to stop in and join in the fun! Hope to see you all there. Now for my card....I needed to get some sympathy cards made and really don't have a lot of stamps for that purpose...so I made my own. Hope you like it! It will coming to the Stamping Boutique soon. I colored the inside of the sentiment with copics to match my backgound paper. The background paper was embossed with a Sizzix folder but for the life of me I don't remember the name of it! I layered some black paper under my sentiment and added ribbon (from Hobby Lobby). I am kind of thinking the card is a little plain but not sure what to do differently to spruce it up a bit...but hope you like it! Well I am off to start my day....thank you so much for stopping in to see me. Have a wonderful day today...and don't forget to stop by the Boutique tonight for some fun.

I Love Digi Challenge

Good morning! I am off to a slow start today! Was a very late night and long day for me yesterday so I am feeling like a turtle today! But I do have a wonderful new challenge for you today! Today the Stamping Boutique is sponsoring I Love Digi first challenge! The theme for the challenge is "Think Pink" and there is a sweet prize for the winner! Hop on over and join in the fun! My card was created using the Comfort and Peace sentiment from the Boutique...it was colored with copics. The base of the card is actually from a box of cards that I picked up at Hobby Lobby like dirt cheap...I think that actually they were wedding cards. BUT I love the laser cut and thought they could be used for other types of cards as well. I backed the card front with some pink cardstock and added a pink ribbon to the side of the card. Hope you like my creation! Today I am not on the road so I will get home at a decent time and hope to be able to hop on over to see what you all have been up to...have a great day today and thanks so much for stopping in to see me!

Good morning! Whew long day yesterday for work...I am thankful to have a few cards made ahead so hopefully I can keep posting daily through this week. Today's card base was created on my cricut...I absolutely love the design. Once I had cut the card base, I then cut the same card again using some designer paper I had purchased at Hobby Lobby...glued it to the card base, then cut an oval out of the same paper using Oval Nesties and cut a scalloped oval in white...pop dotted the oval shapes onto the card base. Of course, I had to use that crystal effects on the center flower in the oval! Actually this was the first card that I had used it on and am just now getting the card posted. I tied a ribbon around the oval shapes as well. I hope you like this card...I really like playing with my cricut and hope to make more of these types of card bases so you will be seeing more of them! Have a wonderful day today...I won't be home until very late again tonight so I will not be able to come visit you till Thursday...but I promise to come see you. Thanks so much for visiting me today!

Tuesday Morning Sketches

Hello all...quick post for me today as I am off to work at 4 AM! Today and tomorrow are busy work days for me so I won't be around to do much visiting BUT I will be sure to see you all on Thursday and Friday. Today's card is for Tuesday Morning Sketches...the Stamping Boutique is sponsoring this challenge...be sure to stop by and join in the fun with us. For my card, I used a paper pack that I had purchased while on a shopping trip with Stef...got the whole pad for like $1.95...and there is really some cute paper in it. The image I used is one of the new Patooties from the Boutique...colored with copics and a little crystal effects added to the sun and it's rays. I used a Fiskars corner punch on two of the layers and Oval and Scalloped Oval Nestabilities around the image. Hope you enjoyed your visit with me today....thanks so much for your daily support...it means so much to me! HUGS to all!

For My Sweetie

Happy Valentine's Day to all! Today's valentine card was for my husband...The idea for the card came from Sue Nelson at Heart Prints. Basically the outside of the card (the white scalloped heart) is the largest size of the Nestabiliites Scalloped Heart dies...the next layer (the pink open heart) was created by folding the paper and cutting the heart from the next size down of the Nestabilities Heart die. Then the inside where the sentiment is was the next size down from that. Makes a small card but it is so darn cute! On the inside of my card I stamped my image....which was from the Lil Cupid Whimsie Doodles rubber stamp set that I had won a few weeks ago. Isn't that penguin just so cute. The sentiment was also part of that stamp set. I colored the image with my copics and then filled in the penguin's belly with liquid applique for some dimension and added some glitter to his wings. The background I chalked with some pink chalk. Turned out cute don't ya think. I could see doing a larger version of this on my cricut but have not had the chance to get that done...but it is an idea. The card base wouldn't always have to be used for Valentine's Day...done up the right way this idea would be perfect for a wedding card! Well, I hope you all have a wonderful day, and I thank you tons for stopping in to see me. I hope to have some free time today to catch up on my visiting!
