Stamping Boutique Blog Hop

Good morning! Welcome to this month's Stamping Boutique Blog hop! Are you enjoying the hop? Haven't the DT ladies pulled off some awesome cards? I always say it is not hard to create an awesome card with Tracey's images...and that holds true with this new line that Tracey is debuting! There is so much feeling and emotion in these images. If you have gotten to my blog via Kym W's blog then you are on the right path! If not be sure to start at the beginning of the hop which is at Tracey's blog! For my card, I used the Swan image. My coloring is with copic markers and the sky was chalked with pink and blue. The wings were coated with crystal effects and then I added some gold glitter while it was wet. The sentiment was computer generated. Although this card is very very simple in that I didn't really embellish much, I like it that way...I really didn't want to take away from the image.
Now....there is a PRIZE!! Yes, the blog hop winner will receive an UNRELEASED image from the Enchanted line! That image will be on display on Tracey's blog today...so be sure to take a peak at it! ALSO...Tracey is going to give all Boutique shoppers a whopping 40% off during the hop until midnight tonight! Be sure to stop on over and take advantage of that awesome sale!
From here, you need to hop on over to the last stop on the hop...Rhonda's blog. She always has some stunning creations!

Thanks so much for visiting me today...enjoy the hop, and happy shopping!

Thursday Sketch Challenge

Whooo hooo! It is time for the Stamping Boutique's Thursday Sketch Challenge! We have another sweet sketch from Becky Fleck at Page Maps...

I used one of the Pocket Patooties from the Stamping Boutique and did some Photoshop work on it so I ended up with the pocket only...added my sentiment tag...which was computer generated...and then some ribbon and the "friends" embellie. Please be sure to check out what the rest of our creative DT designed at the Stamping Boutique Challenge Blog! Well I am off for another rigourous day at work...still training our staff for another two weeks! Don't forget to comment on the Sympathy card from yesterday...it is a giveaway card! Thanks to all of you ladies who already commented!!! I truly appreciate the love you left. Have a wonderful day today!

Serenity

Hello! I am so glad to be back home and creating again...and will be able to visit all of you again! Being away from my craft room was hard...and it was even harder to not be able to visit all of you to see what you have been up to! But this week should be better for me so let's keep our fingers crossed. And oh my gosh...you just have to see the new images Tracey has been creating! Meet Serenity...is she not the most awesome angel you have ever seen!??? She is new to the Boutique...Tracey really did a great job with her. I created the card in photoshop so I could do the gradient background and the sentiment...once printed, I colored the image with copics and added some bling with my Sakura Stardust Gelly Roll pens. The corners were punched with a Fiskars punch that I have in my stash. I really love this image and will be using it a lot I believe! Well off to work today...I will stop by to see you all later in the evening. Thanks for stopping in to see me and leaving some love!

Sympathy Card

Well here we are at the end of another week! I am so glad to see Friday every week but this week especially! It has been a long work week for me. Before I go into the deets on my card for today, I just wanted to remind everyone that tonight is Digi Day at the Stamping Boutique from 7-9 CST. We will be debuting a new line of images and of course there will be prizes! So be sure to stop in and join in the fun! Hope to see you all there. Now for my card....I needed to get some sympathy cards made and really don't have a lot of stamps for that purpose...so I made my own. Hope you like it! It will coming to the Stamping Boutique soon. I colored the inside of the sentiment with copics to match my backgound paper. The background paper was embossed with a Sizzix folder but for the life of me I don't remember the name of it! I layered some black paper under my sentiment and added ribbon (from Hobby Lobby). I am kind of thinking the card is a little plain but not sure what to do differently to spruce it up a bit...but hope you like it! Well I am off to start my day....thank you so much for stopping in to see me. Have a wonderful day today...and don't forget to stop by the Boutique tonight for some fun.

I Love Digi Challenge

Good morning! I am off to a slow start today! Was a very late night and long day for me yesterday so I am feeling like a turtle today! But I do have a wonderful new challenge for you today! Today the Stamping Boutique is sponsoring I Love Digi first challenge! The theme for the challenge is "Think Pink" and there is a sweet prize for the winner! Hop on over and join in the fun! My card was created using the Comfort and Peace sentiment from the Boutique...it was colored with copics. The base of the card is actually from a box of cards that I picked up at Hobby Lobby like dirt cheap...I think that actually they were wedding cards. BUT I love the laser cut and thought they could be used for other types of cards as well. I backed the card front with some pink cardstock and added a pink ribbon to the side of the card. Hope you like my creation! Today I am not on the road so I will get home at a decent time and hope to be able to hop on over to see what you all have been up to...have a great day today and thanks so much for stopping in to see me!

Tuesday Morning Sketches

Hello all...quick post for me today as I am off to work at 4 AM! Today and tomorrow are busy work days for me so I won't be around to do much visiting BUT I will be sure to see you all on Thursday and Friday. Today's card is for Tuesday Morning Sketches...the Stamping Boutique is sponsoring this challenge...be sure to stop by and join in the fun with us. For my card, I used a paper pack that I had purchased while on a shopping trip with Stef...got the whole pad for like $1.95...and there is really some cute paper in it. The image I used is one of the new Patooties from the Boutique...colored with copics and a little crystal effects added to the sun and it's rays. I used a Fiskars corner punch on two of the layers and Oval and Scalloped Oval Nestabilities around the image. Hope you enjoyed your visit with me today....thanks so much for your daily support...it means so much to me! HUGS to all!

Wishing You a Happy Birthday

Whoooo hooo! It's Friday...can you tell I am a working girl? I am always so excited for the weekends to come...time to play and time to spend with my grandbabies! Today's card features a new image from the Stamping Boutique! It is called Audrey's Wishing Well...is this not the cutest yet? I colored the sky in photoshop using a gradient...the rest of the card was colored with copic markers. And yes, you guessed it...I just had to use my crystal effects! All the flower heads have crystal effects as well as the two butterflies. The clouds were filled in with Tulip Puffy paint and a touch of glitter was added before the paint dried. The sentiment was computer generated. I had a blast working with this image. Remember to stop by the Boutique to check out all the new images and take advantage of the sale! Hugs to all and have a great day today!

All My Love

Good morning! BRRRR it is frigid cold again here in the Valley! Mother Nature is just letting us know that winter is NOT over yet even though most of us are impatiently awaiting spring! Well last night I got a couple of new cards made with some of Tracey's new images at the Stamping Boutique. If you have not been to the Boutique lately, be sure to stop on over to see all the new cute images Tracey has added....they are simply awesome and what's more...she is having a SALE! Yep, 35% off! You can check out the deets here! Today's card is for Stef's Sketch Challenge. Once I printed the image, I colored it with copic markers and added a little bling with a red Sakura glitter pen. And oh my, I bought my first bottle of crystal effects and am really loving it...notice the rose and the bow are accented with it? I know it has been around for a while but it is new to me and I am excited...you will probably see it on a lot of my upcoming projects. I love dimension. Also the image was trimmed out with one of my new MS punches. The senitment was computer generated and cut out using Spellbinders Labels...added some ribbon and voila! I sure hope you stop on over to see what the other DT ladies have created and join in the fun! Remember....there is a prize for one lucky winner! Well hope you all have a great day today and as always I thank you so much for stopping in to see me....it means a lot to me and I treasure all of you and your comments. Hope to see you again soon and I will be by to do some visiting with you a little later on today.

Friends are Flowers

Well I am running a little behind! This card I had created for Stef's sketch challenge at The Stamping Boutique a few weeks ago and didn't get it posted in time...so I am going to show it to you now. This image is Sunflower Girl...it is so cute and fun to create with. I colored the image with my SU markers...not real fond of how they color but I just don't have a huge assortment of copics yet. I added the sentiment around the image. Hope everyone is fine...with all the snow we have gotten in the last few days I know it headed east...so to all my eastern friends I hope you are all doing ok. Wow you really got socked. I will be back tomorrow with a new card for this weeks sketch challenge. ON TIME! LOL...thanks so much for stopping by and leaving some love!

Friends

Good Friday morning! This seems to have been a long work week and I am ready for the weekend to be here! Tonight my kids are all coming home for dinner and I get to see all 4 of my grandbabies! I am excited to have them home. Family has always been so important to me since I started to have one of my own. We are actually celebrating my one of my sweet DIL's birthday...and tomorrow I will post a pic of the card I created for her...but for today, my card above is about friends! The circle sentiment is one of my creations available at the Boutique. It says "Friends...are umbrellas in the storms of life..." and how true that is. The card base was cut on my cricut...I added a bow and some background paper. Well, enough for today...I will be back tomorrow with that bday card I promised. Take care, have a great day and don't forget to hug a friend! I will be by to see you all a little later in the day...thank you so much for being here for me!

Funky Fairy Challenge

Good morning Ladies! Well I am feeling a tad better today, cough is not quite as intense as yesterday...will take a couple more days to shake this I think. Thanks tons for all the well wishes everyone sent me over the last 2 days! Cyberfriends are simply amazing. Well today's card is for all of you! I created this card for the Funky Fairy Challenge sponsored by the Stamping Boutique. This challeng actually does not take place until Wednesday, Jan. 27 so I am actually ahead of the game here. The image is one of Stef's from the Boutique...colored her digitally...all but her hair...chalked around her and cut out the image using Nestabilities Label Three. Added the flower embelly which is from the Contemporary Hearts Spellbinders Pendants line. Added a few pearls for a little pizzaz! The patterned paper I used is from a paper pack called Itsy Bitsy from K&Company. Well hope your day is a wonderful one and I hope to get out to visit each and everyone of you today now that I am feeling a little better. Hugs to everyone!

Stamping Boutique Blog Hop (DAY 2)

Good morning ladies and welcome to day 2 of our Blog hop! First I want to thank all of you who stopped by yesterday and left some love! I have been under the weather for almost 3 days now with what I think is just a cold, but it has really knocked my socks off so I do not have a new card to show you all today. I hope I am not disappointing my followers....but here is my card for today. This is an image from the Boutique called Snowman Laundry....I had scored the card on the Scor Pal and colored the image with copics. The sentiment was computer generated and the ribbon is from Hobby Lobby. Hope you had fun on the hop and will stop by the Stamping Boutique to see all the wonderful images created by Tracey and Stef...and also by myself! Yes, I design sentiments for the boutique as well! Have a great day and a great weekend...I hope to be back with some fresh creations tomorrow or Monday if this cold cooperates! Thanks tons for stopping by....ooops, I forgot to mention that the next stop on your hop is to Rhonda's blog!

Stamping Boutique Copics Challenge

Today I have something a little different for you. I have created a scrapbook page that someday I hope to use on a recipie scrapbook. The challenge over at SNR was to create a non card item with one/or all of the images provided...and they were all cooking theme related. The page was created digitally...and the 3 Stamping Boutique images were colored with copics. This was a very fun challenge once I could get my mind wrapped around a non card theme! Stop on over at SNR to join in the fun...we would love to see what you create. Thanks for stopping by today and be sure to stop by again tomorrow for another Blast from the Past! LOL.

Have a Fairy Nice Day!

Good morning! Well today I am going to post 2 cards...simply because I have been promising that second card that I created from the Twisted Papers valentine image and I need to post for our Digi Day at The Stamping Boutique! Come join us on Friday, January 15th from 7-9pm for our first 2010 Digi-Day event. We have exciting things planned for a fun evening and will be showcasing the newly released "Cynthia" images. We would like for you to create a project using the adorable image Tracey has posted as a FREEBIE for you to download. Hop on over to the Boutique on SNR and get all the deets! My card was created all digitally...my first. I used a free digital kit from Shabby Princess to my project. I also colored Cynthia digitally...I have a lot to learn about coloring digitally so there is not a alot of shading...but for my first try, I am liking it! And will most likely do more creations like this. Thanks so much for stopping in to see me again today...I promise to be by to see you all today...yesterday I was so overwhelmed with work (I work full time) that I needed a break last night.

Stamping Boutique Sketch Challenge

Oh gosh I know I promised another Twisted Papers valentine card today...I will post it tomorrow. Today is a new sketch challenge over at PCP and SNR! Stef has a new sketch for us to create with. And what a great sketch it is. My image is from the Stamping Boutique and is colored with copic markers...except for her dress...although you really can't tell, her dress was digitally colored using the same paper that the heart next to her is made out of. I embossed my card base with Sizzix Dots folder and then brayered some pink ink on it. My layers were made out of some scraps of paper that I had on hand...I embossed the pinkish layer and the other layer is a heart cut out with the Scalloped hearts Nestis...the paper was digital paper that I had also used on her dress...I generated the sentiment on the computer. Why don't you stop on by and join in the fun! We would love to see you there. Well I hope you all have a wonderful day today...thanks for all the comments and love left yesterday...it really lifts one's spirits. I will be by to see you all later in the day today.

Vicki

The Stamping Boutique "I have a dream" Challenge

Good morning! Welcome the the 2nd challenge at the Stamping Boutique for 2010....this challenge was to create a card using any Stamping Boutique image and use the phrase "I have a dream" for inspiration. This was a fun challenge because I knew a perfect image from the store that I wanted to use...this is the Twirling Girl image...is she awesome or what? I added the background to the image using photoshop brushes for the sky and the grass...colored the young lady with copics. The saying on the card I had found online one time and wrote it down just in case I could ever use it...I thought it fit this challenge perfectly! What do you think? Dream Big is from JustRite Stamps and cut out using the circle nesities...I used the MS loopy punch, some ribbon and the Dots embossing folder from Sizzix to add some dimension to the card. Why not stop by and play with us? We would love to see what you create. Hope you have a great day and thanks for stopping by to see what I have been up to!

Loads of Love

Holy Snow!!! We are getting quite a lot of snow right now! It is beautiful...nice to see new snow cause the old snow was getting dirty. Would be a nice day to stay home and play but I do have to try to get to work. Maybe I will be lucky and the office will close early. But anyhoooo, today's card was created for Stef's sketch challenge at the Boutique at Yahoo....come join in the fun! The inside of my card(the white hearts) was cut using the cricut...the image is from The Stamping Boutique...and if you haven't been over there lately you don't know what you are missing! Tracey and Stef have some awesome images and I have started doing digital sentiments for The Stamping Boutique as well....back to the card.....the ribbon and heart buttons were from my stash. Actually a friend of mine gave me the hearts last year after Valentines Day and I was glad to put them to use. The sentiment on the card was computer generated. And of course, you know me, I had to add some bling to my card with the Sakura Stardust Gelly Roll pens. Hope you enjoyed your stay today and I look forward to seeing you again. Thanks tons for stopping by.

Papertake Challenge

Good morning! Well I am hoping to be back on track starting today! Thanks tons for sticking with me! Today's card is one that is created for the Papertake Weekly challenge that is sponsored by The Stamping Boutique. Please be sure to stop by both places and join in the fun! Tracey is offering 5 images up for grabs to one lucky winner. The challenge is as follows and your freebie is Audrey's Brand New Dress:

New Beginnings
How you interpret this is entirely up to you.
It could be a card for something new ie a new house, new baby etc etc or you could use something 'new' on your card - maybe something that Santa brought you!!
Be sure to check out what the TSB DT has done this week with the challenge and show us you projects. Remember to for your chance at the prize you must upload your cards to Papertake Weekly blog.

For my card... I chose to use a new image freebie Tracey has provided for the challenge on the SNR forum...this is Audery in her new dress....isn't she just so sweet....I colored the image with Copics...the background is colored in Photoshop. I added a ribbon and flower (the flower came from a stash of goodies from Stef (Glitterbabe) with a little stickles added to it) and a digi sentiment created by myself. Yes, I am a digital artist! If you haven't had a chance, please stop by The Stamping Boutique to see all the goodies in the store! Well, I hope you enjoyed your visit today as much as I enjoy having you! Thanks for all the love you leave.

HUGS,
Vicki
