Warm Wishes

Hello all! Today I tried my hand at an image from Stef. Yesterday I had to run out and get some of those awesome images. If you haven't checked them out yet, be sure to. The image I used here was Warm Wishes. I colored it with Copic markers. The paper was cardstock I had purchased at Hobby Lobby during one of their half off sales...I love those sales...a girl can never have enough paper! The embossing folder I used on this card was a Sizzix Snowflakes #3 folder...hmmm don't ask me what that #3 is for cause I haven't got a clue...but it is a pretty folder. I used the circle Nestabilities to cut the circles. The ribbon was purchased at Hobby Lobby at the end of the year last year and I am so glad to find a use for it! I hope your day went well today...I had a rough one but it is always nice to come home and play...cardmaking is like a CALGON bath...it takes me away!!! Thanks again so much for stopping by to see me and leaving some love. I appreciate you all.

Season's Greetings

Today is a sweet day for my friend Stef! She has been working hard at creating her own digital stamps and has a few for sale. I couldn't resist the temptation so I ran to get a few. The card base is a Sizzix embossing folder called Poinsettia Corners...I found it so appropriate for Stef's beautiful image. I used Star Dust Stickles to add some bling to the embossing. The image was colored with a combination of Copic and SU markers. I cut out the top layer of the image and pop dotted it to the original colored image to give it a little dimension. The greeting is a collection of stamps purchased from Joanne Fabrics last Christmas. I am really liking how this one turned out. Thanks so much for stopping by to see me...I hope to be able to come see all of you tomorrow.

Squigglefly Challenge Xmas Card

Happy Saturday! Short post today...this is my card for Stef's challenge this week...the challenge was to use red, green and white and it had to be a Christmas card. My card base was paper from a paper pack that I lost the cover. I colored my image digitally in photshop and created the sentiment there as well...I also put my little grandson's name on the stocking! Right now I don't have a lot of copic markers so I am trying to make do with what I have. I used the Nestabilities Circles and Scalloped Circles to mount the image on. Hope you like it. Thanks for stopping by today...I look forward to seeing you each day!

A card with no name!

Happy Thursday...I hope your day was a good one. The weather here is getting frightful! Oh my gosh they are calling for SNOW showers Monday and Tuesday next week. It it just way to early for snow, we haven't had fall yet! Speaking of fall, today's card is rather "fallish". Once I got it created, I had no room for a sentiment...The card base is SU paper embossed with the Cuttlebug Textiles Texture folder. The image is a freebie image from Fred She Said. I colored this image with my SU markers and then used my Versamarker pen on the image so I could use a clear embossing powder on it. I do like how it turned out...kind of "fallish" don't ya think? Well that's all for today...glad to have you visit me.

Need a Lift 2!

Hello once again today! Well, I am legal now! I followed the rules and this is the card I will put in the challenge...I actually like this one better. I learned a cool way to do the sky from Stef and I think it turned out pretty good for my first attempt. The piece of the challenge that I didn't meet on the first card was a pop up on the card...well, I thought a butterfly on the big guy's nose would suit the purpose. So he is pop dotted to the card and I drew his antenaes on. We had flu shots and mandatory TB shots at work today so my arm is a little sore tonight...but beats getting so sick with the flu! Hope you all had a wonderful day and come back to see me soon. Thanks to all who have been commenting, I truly appreciate all your support.

Need a Lift?

Happy Wednesday morning to all! I hope your week has been going good and you are doing well. For the card today, I decided to try my hand at another challenge at Squiqqlefly. Squigglefly has a boatload of awesome digital stamps and this week they have offered a freebie to play with. I used it for my card...isn't the image adorable? I colored the image with Copics markers and although you can't see the "bling", I used Sakura Gelly Roll Stardust pens...these are an amazing way to add a little glimmer to your projects without all the mess. The edges of the paper the image is stamped on were punched and embossed using one of the Fiskars corner punches. I added a border strip that was cut using an MS punch. My sentiment was computer generated. The Challenge rules were to use yellow and a pop up on your card...well because in my haste I did not fully read the rules, I didn't use a pop up...so, I will make another card for the challenge. Hope you enjoyed your visit today...I will be visiting you too later on in the day. Thanks for stopping by!

Hugs!!!

Wedding Card

WowZers!!! So much has gone on since my last post! First, on Friday, I got to meet Stef! Oh we had a blast...time flew so fast. I am blessed to have a friend like her in my life! While at Stef's we made a call to Holly!! And holy moly....I have more followers! Tons of thanks to all of you who follow me...I really do appreciate you stopping by. This weekend was a real busy one...but a good busy. I was blessed to spend time with all four of our grandchildren this weekend...and there is nothing more precious than time with the grandchildren. I really had no time for card making or visiting blogs this weekend but I do have a card that I created in June to share with you. This card was created for my son and daughter in law for their wedding. This card has lots of embossing on it and I also used the Scor Pal! The bride and groom were cut from a cartridge on the cricut. The bride's dress was also embossed with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder. Of course, I had to add some Skittles for bling. Thanks again for visiting today and hope to see you again soon. I will be by to see each of you as well today. Have a great Monday!
