Just an Update

Time for a SNEAK PEEK!

Happy Friday! I am beat...have been on the road all week training and supporting our docs and nurses using our new module of our clinical software...ready sooooo ready for a day or two off! AND tomorrow, I am going to CHA!!!!!!! I can't wait...will be fun. Before I go....here is my card for today! A sneak peek from Squigglefly. Glitterbabe Challenge

Happy Thursday!!! And it is Glitterbabe Challenge day!!! We have had so much fun creating for Glitterbabe so far and are so excited to see all of you play along! Wow and you have all made some really awesome cards...some of those cards should have been accompanied with a warning....BLING CENTRAL...SUNGLASSES REQUIRED!!! Our challenge this week was a Back to School theme. Gliterbabe gave us some really cool images to work with. I used the apple and crayon. Colored both with copics and pop dotted them onto my card. This card was created with a big BLUNDER! I created my chalk board with one of the Nestie frames...colored both pieces with copics and wrote the alphabet on the outside frame....and school days on the "chalkboard". Well I went to run the pieces through the Xyron and put the darn things in the WRONG way! All the glue ended on the TOP of my pieces. GEEESH...well, the mistake solved my dilema of not knowing for sure where to put my bling...yep...you got it...right on that sticky chalkboard. My First Tent Card

Good morning all!! Well I decided to show you my first attempt at a tent card...I know they have probably been around awhile...but you all know I am a little behind!!! Well, maybe a LOT behind! All of the paper, ribbon and stamps used on this card were from Gina K...how pretty the colors are! Colored with copic markers and cut out with nestabilities. The flowers are from my stash and I believe I had purchased them at Hobby Lobby.

A little off subject here...BUT....I wanted to let you all know that in a few days, I will be posting some candy for my first anniversary of blogging! Yep...it has been a whole year already...and I want to thank each and every one of you for all your kindness and love that you have left me! I have thought several times that I may continue to make cards and hang up blogging. For now, I am going to stick with it. So....be sure to stop back in on Sunday...I will be going to CHA on Saturday and plan to hopefully pick up some candy to post on Sunday! Cricut fun!

Ohhhhhh sorry for not posting since Thursday! My weekend flew by...I hope yours was awesome and you had some fun creating! I will have a few cricut cards to share with you this week! This card was created with an SVG file I downloaded from Paper, Scissors, Ink. The flower is a pop up flower...and I cased the designer's card...Colored the flower with copic markers, added a few buttons in the center and colored them with copic markers as well. The swirly border is from the Storybook cricut cartridge. I added a little bling to the swirly with my Sakura stardust pen. The background paper is from SU I believe. Hope you enjoy my cricut creations! I hope to make more and have more to show you yet this week. Hope you have an awesome day and look forward to seeing you again. New Glitterbabe Challenge

Hello again! Today is Thursday and that means we get to do new challenge at Glitterbabes Challenge Blog!! This week the challenge is to use one of two images Stef provided us and use faux stitching. This image is perfect for that challenge as there is plenty of faux stitching around the dress and heart! I think I may have failed in the Bling department! I promise to do better next week! I used Nestabilities to cut out my image and mat around it...as well as the Contemporary Heart Pendant from Nestabilities down in the corner...added a few pearls for some dimension. Friendship Warms the Heart

Hello again! Well I must be on a Friendship kick cause here is another card with that sentiment! This card was a test run using heavy weight vellum paper and nestabilities...I used the Fleur de Lis pendant...first cutting it out with plain blue paper and then cutting it out and embossing it with the heavy weight vellum...yeah...I hear ya...I am on a vellum kick lately! Anyhoooo...i used an embossing tool to go over all the areas that are white...i did not color any of that...it is the pressure of the tool on the vellum that turns it white...have to be careful though cause it is easy to poke holes in the vellum if you push too hard. The paper I used for my card is from SU...added a few sparkly embellies and done! A little simple maybe but I am finding that seems to be my style! LOL that is me...kind of a plain jane!
