Cricut fun!

Ohhhhhh sorry for not posting since Thursday! My weekend flew by...I hope yours was awesome and you had some fun creating! I will have a few cricut cards to share with you this week! This card was created with an SVG file I downloaded from Paper, Scissors, Ink. The flower is a pop up flower...and I cased the designer's card...Colored the flower with copic markers, added a few buttons in the center and colored them with copic markers as well. The swirly border is from the Storybook cricut cartridge. I added a little bling to the swirly with my Sakura stardust pen. The background paper is from SU I believe. Hope you enjoy my cricut creations! I hope to make more and have more to show you yet this week. Hope you have an awesome day and look forward to seeing you again. I will be out to see all of you today as well! Thanks tons for stopping in!

New Glitterbabe Challenge

Hello again! Today is Thursday and that means we get to do new challenge at Glitterbabes Challenge Blog!! This week the challenge is to use one of two images Stef provided us and use faux stitching. This image is perfect for that challenge as there is plenty of faux stitching around the dress and heart! I think I may have failed in the Bling department! I promise to do better next week! I used Nestabilities to cut out my image and mat around it...as well as the Contemporary Heart Pendant from Nestabilities down in the corner...added a few pearls for some dimension. Please stop by the challenge blog and see what the other DT ladies created! They really did an awesome job again this week...and play along with us! We have had a great few weeks with our challenges and are looking so forward to you playing along with us! Thanks for stopping in today...I know you have many choices when you do your daily blog hopping...I am so glad that you chose to hop by to see me! Have an awesome day.

Friendship Warms the Heart

Hello again! Well I must be on a Friendship kick cause here is another card with that sentiment! This card was a test run using heavy weight vellum paper and nestabilities...I used the Fleur de Lis pendant...first cutting it out with plain blue paper and then cutting it out and embossing it with the heavy weight vellum...yeah...I hear ya...I am on a vellum kick lately! Anyhoooo...i used an embossing tool to go over all the areas that are white...i did not color any of that...it is the pressure of the tool on the vellum that turns it white...have to be careful though cause it is easy to poke holes in the vellum if you push too hard. The paper I used for my card is from SU...added a few sparkly embellies and done! A little simple maybe but I am finding that seems to be my style! LOL that is me...kind of a plain jane! Thanks so much for all the lovely comments yesterday...they keep me going and creating! I am off to visit each of you and thank you so much for taking the time to stop by AND leaving some love! Have a very creative day!

Friendship-Promise

Hello again to all my friends! Short post today...heading out of town for work so have to get moving! I am really struggling to create nowdays...my mojo has taken a path of no return it seems! Today's card was created using a Squigglefly sentiment...Frienship-Promise. The sentiment was cut out and matted using Nestabilities...I changed the color of the font in Photoshop. All my paper used on this card is from my new stash of Papertrey Ink...this color is Raspberry Fizz...isn't it fun paper? For my card I created an A2 card but cut off about 2 inches on the front flap...kind of like the way it turned out. I hope you are having an awesome day wherever you are today! I will be sure to be by and check on what you are up to later on today...thank you so much for checking in on me today!

Elephants Don't Forget

Good morning! Hope you are all doing well today and staying cool where ever you may be! I just wanted to share another new image that is in the new Squigglefly release today...it is called African Elephant...The image itself is just one elephant...I added the second elephant and the balloon to the image. Colored with copics...cut out with Nesties and matted with an assortment of paper. Added a little Glossy Accents on the balloon and a few flowers colored with copics. The inside of the card says "Elephants don't forget, and neither do I...Happy Birthday!" Be sure to stop on by Squigglefly today and check out all the new releases! Have an awesome day and thank you so much for stopping by!

Squigglefly SNEAK Peek!

OHHHH happy Friday! Yipppeee! AND even more to be happy about is that tomorrow is another weekly Squigglefly release! Yep...and what you see above is a new Shy Bear release...is this cool or what! How refreshing is this scene in this sweltering heat! AHHHHH how I wish I was sitting along that beach. SLAP!!! Ok....I am back to reality now...sorry for slipping away there for a few! Once I colored the image with my copic markers, I cut out the area around the palm tree down to the water. I mounted the cut out image on some light blue glittered paper to appear as sky. The border on the edge of the card is the Lotus Border from Nestabilities...one of my purchases when I went to the convention in Collinsville in June. What you see there is half the border...then I colored the cut out flowers from the border and glued them into place and then put an eyelet in the center of each using the Cropodile Big Bite. I really love how it turned out...and maybe I might be enabling a little! Bet you will be running out to get this one on Saturday! Be sure to stop by Squigglefly to check out all the new releases tomorrow! Thanks for stopping by to see me...have a blessed day!

Challenge at Glitterbabes

Hello, hello, hello! Well it is time for a new Glitterbabe's Challenge! Wow, that week went by sooooo fast! We had several wonderful entries into last weeks challenge...and Glitterbabe will be picking a winner tomorrow so be sure to check to see if you won! And come join in the fun for this weeks challenge! We were asked to create a card using a sketch that Glitterbabe provided...and of course...bring on the BLING! Today is sweltering hot in the Illinois Valley so I decided to cool it down...(if only in my mind!) with one of Glitterbabe's winter images called Snowman Hugs...lol a snowman hug ought to cool ya off on a day like this! I embossed my background paper with a Sizzix embossing folder and used a Krylon silver leafing pen to accent that embossing as well as frame out that background paper. Added a few glittered snowflakes to the card and glittered up the image a little. All my coloring was done with copics.

I also wanted to thank all of you who stopped by yesterday and wished me a Happy Birthday! I am so touched. I have a rough time being here every day with a full time job so I was just sooooo touched to see those wishes! I did have a wonderful day! My youngest son and family are in the Ozarks this week so I didn't get to see them but my little 2 year old Ava did tell Grandma happy birthday on the phone...made me just get goosebumps! And later on in the day I got a call from our oldest grandson (Ava's big brother) who is 10! And GUESS who came to see me on my birthday????? Glitterbabe herself!!! How awesome is that!!! Yep, Stef and Clyde stopped by, we grilled out and had some lucious ice cream cake! Later on in the evening my day was complete with a visit from my oldest son and family! Litte Collin is only 1 and isn't talking much yet but he sure joined in the festivities when the candles were lit and everyone sang happy birthday! Our Jacob is 2...soon to be 3...he sang Happy Birthday and it was awesome! Bless his heart he helped me blow out the candles and then said..."Grandma, now you are 3 like me!" These are the moments I will cherish in my heart forever...how could it get any better...the love of family and friends! Thanks for stopping in today...I am going to try very hard to get by to see all of you this weekend...it is back to work for me tomorrow after a wonderful 3 days off!
