FREEBIE for you

Hello, surprised to see me TWO times today? Well as I was getting my cards designed for my two sons for Father's Day, I created a digi sentiment that I am going to share with you. I hope that you can use it...if not for this year, maybe keep it in your stash for next year! I am going to start creating more digi sentiments as time goes on...and I will post my cards that I used this sentiment on tomorrow. Have an awesome day!

NEWS!

Hello Ladies! Oh I have some news to share with you! I have been honored to join not one but TWO new design teams this week! First I have been asked to design for Glitterbabe at Glitterbabe's Challenge! Stef has some awesome images and I can't wait to work with her...be sure to drop over and join in the fun at the Challenge Blog...we will be doing weekly challenges and of course there are going to be PRIZES! Second...I am now a new member of the Squigglefly DT! My term will be from July through December. Holy moly! They also have the most awesome images as well! Be sure to go out and check their store if you haven't been there! The variety and versatility of the images is awesome! I am anxious to begin my new duties and hope you will join in on all the fun at both places! Thanks so much to Glitterbabe and Squigglefly for having me!

OOOOPS! Bet you want to see a card today!!! Well I do have one for you!

Today's card uses another one of Gina K's stamps...the butterfly...I stamped the large butterfly several times to give it a "shadowed" look and then randomly stamped the smaller ones. The embossed background was created using one of my Spellbinders Impressabilities..inked. I love how it turned out...very deeply debossed! I have heard that some users have been disappointed in the way these emboss and deboss...I found that the trick to getting a good imprint is to run it through my cuttlebug more than one pass...after several passes it makes an awesome image. It just depends on your paper thickness how many times you need to pass it through. Don't give up using them! Once I discovered this, I will use mine more often now. The border that I used was a MS punch that I created 2 of and put them together covering up the join with a ribbon.

Well hope you enjoyed this card...and hope you all have a wonderful weekend! I hope to get to play this weekend...will be off to see you all and catch up with you too. Thanks tons for coming by!

A Little Birdie Told Me!

Good morning! Well I am trying to get back into the swing after our weekend at the convention...geez, I didn't realize how much I bought! I am actually a little overwhelmed with all the new goodies but I am slowly getting them organized so that I can start playing with them! The card for today was actually created before my weekend away...and I am just getting it posted. Isn't it a cutie? The card base was cut using a file from Mary at mawmawslegacy...I love that flower border. My stamped image is from Gina K...and I am sure your recognize all the other goodies....cuttlebug embossing and nestabilities! The ribbon is from SU. Hope you enjoyed your visit today and have an awesome day! The sun is shinning so brightly today and that is such a welcome after all the rain we have had over the last few days! I am off to see you all....thanks so much for stopping in to see me!

I hope you all have been doing great...I will be by to see you soon. Have a great nite and thanks tons for coming to see me tonight!

CELEBRATE!!!!!!

Good morning! And hello Friday! It has been a very crazy week for me at work so I have not had a chance to get back here since Tuesday...BUT I do have a card for you today...My card was created with an image from Stef (aka Glitterbabe) called Sweet Brier...is it darling or what? Stef always does an awesome job with her flowers. I colored it with copics, and then I used Crystal effects on the whole image. Not real sure that I should have done that but...oh well it is done! I tried a new technique for me with the nestabilities...I cut out the nestie shape with part of my flower out of the shape...it was not hard to do and I rather like the effect. Then layered in behind that with another size of that same Blossom nestie and then the green layer is the Fluer de Lis Pendant. I did pop dot the whole layered image on my card...cut out the corners of the designer paper and the pink layer on the card was embossed with the Sizzix Dots folder. The Celebrate Today sentiment was from a collection of sentiments I had picked up at Big Lots from Cloud 9. Hope you like!

And today is a special day for me!!! I am celebrating!!! Why you ask??? No it is NOT my birthday, no I am NOT retiring (though I wish I was!)....OK...I will tell you...I am off to a convention in Collinsville with my bestest buddy Stef!!!! Yep...got the day off work, we will drive down today and stay until Sunday afternoon! I am so excited to spend the time with Stef, I am sure we are going to have a blast. I will take pics and post a few if  I get a chance!

Have a fabulous day today...I will be back to check in later today and maybe get some visiting done tonight if time allows! Thanks so much to each and every one of you for stopping in to see me and for leaving me some love!

A Warm Hello

Good morning! I wanted to share one of my cricut creations...I think I got a little carried away with the flower! Kind of large don't ya think!??? I actually cut the petals out on the cricut and scored and layered them to make the flower...the center of the flower was created by curling the petals around a toothpick to get them to curl in some. I found the pattern for the flower at Paper, Scissors, Ink...you've got to check out this site....some awesome cricut files here. The background of my card was also cut with the Cricut from a file I downloaded from mawmawslegacy...I have used a few of Mary's files in earlier posts...I just love how fast and easy these are to create. Although you can see very little of my sentiment, it does say A Warm Hello...and I edged the corners with the edge of a stamp. Hope you like how it turned out. I have some visiting to catch up on...if I haven't been out to see you I WILL be there...my visiting got brought to a screaching halt last night with the issues with Blogger! Thanks so much for stopping in to see me today! I appreciate the love you leave!

To Have and To Hold

Hello to everyone! I am truly blessed to see all of you back here to visit me! I was so afraid that I would loose many of you after my 2 week absence! Thanks so much for sticking with me! Whew we had a rather stormy night here last night. We had tornado sirens go off last night and we rushed to the basement with our 2 little grandchildren and our 83 year old neighbor lady! Luckily for us, the tornado did not touch down here...however, I wanted to share with you some of the things that our little 2 year old said and the neighbor lady...while we were in the basement, our little guy kept telling me; "Gramma I want to go back to your house!" We have a finished basement and Jacob has never been down there in his 2 little years of life...we pretty much quarantine the children from the basement right now as they are all little and the stairs are treacherous for them. I kept trying to reassure him that we were at grammas house but he wasn't so sure. Our little neighbor lady...when the sirens went off I hurriedly went next door to check on her to make sure she was in the basement...as I hollered in the door, a little voice from down in the basement said, I am here...I was sure glad she was safe and told her so...as I was about to hurry back home, she said to me, "But I would rather be in your basement!" Aw shucks...got her (cigarette and ashtray and all...and we don't really allow smoking in our house!) down to our basement where we all stayed till the all clear was sounded. My hometown of Magnolia about 30 miles from here got hit as well as another neighboring town. We were lucky.

Well, guess I better tell you a little about the card I created for today! I had quite a lot of fun creating this card but just not sure if it all "goes" together for a wedding card! The silver background is actually some QuickKutz metal sheeting that I purchased at Hobby Lobby and embossed with a Cuttlebug folder. Then the medallion in the center you should recognize from the card before this...it is the Spellbinders Lotus pendant cut in both gray and black cardstock and staggered over each other. The center sentiment is from the Wedding set from JustRite stamps...cut out and embossed with the circle Nestie. What do you think? Seriously...does this work for a wedding card? Would love our opinion. I hope to work more with that metal...it was easy to emboss and I do like the effect.
Well hope your Sunday is marvelous. I believe hubby and I are going to the local state park for a walk this afternoon. It is an absolutley gorgeous day here. Thanks tons for stopping by today. I plan to visit each of you a little later on in the day today. Can't wait to see what you have to show!
